Sorry, Doctor Wah, I think you get me wrong, my 320d M-Sport have wind blowing noise once reach 110 km/h, I haven't try the speed above 200 km/h yet. ^_^

cheen huat, i had the same cracking/squeking sound from the door panel. got it fixed at AB yesterday. I asked the SA what they did, he said they adjusted the doors. but now theres no sound la.

as for the wind sound...there are some wind sound when i like driving in 140km like that...but its wasnt that bad i guess. sikit sikit tu ade lah. it shud be all quiet or what?

like jwah asked, what is the sppeed that we shud be free of wind noise? any idea guys?

in Sg Besi AB yesterday, i asked them to changed the engine oil but the SA said they cant do it. Apparently under BSRI they can only change the oil when theres an indicator fromt he system.

whats the oil change intervals for the diesel engine guys? 10km or 15km?

Dear Bro. nand78,
I understand that it should have noise when you cruise at the high speed.
But mine is the sound like "Kaca tingkap sudah bocor, and angin terselit masuk"
You know that kind of sound? :)

SC told me to come in at 12k km. You can check the iDrive for distance to next service.

whoa urs with the i-drive....mine has no i-drive :( jealous man!

the indactors shows theres another 1000km to go or Oct 2012 for the next oil change. The things is its already 1.5 years the car is running with the same engine oil.

Chee Huat,

Seems like the wind noice is quite loud in your car. Anyways BMW should do a good job when you send your car to fix it. They HAVE TO!!! ;)

Do a complain on anything on your car and send the car in to SC, they will do some checking and oil change as well. I did that every 8K km, every time got free oil change until my BSRI over. Hope this help...

You can change oil with at least 4999km remaining for the service. The car will usually give intervals of 14000km but I usually send it when there is about 4000 km left and rarely had problems them accepting.

Indeed.last monday i sent the car for my last BSRI service at 59500km.prior to that i sent 5x under BSRI,meaning ive got a total 6 oil changes covered under BSRI at about 10k interval. Now i am officially on my own for the service.i was quoted about MYR640 for my next engine oil change at 70k.

zhul and namidub,

which service centre do u guys go to?
for my case, i even argued with the guy but the SA said cant. somemore the oil level is at the bottom line and they dnt even want to top it up. he calims that they will only follow the indicator. arrghh!!

I go to Ingress or AB Sg Besi but Ingress is preferable because they are usually more honest.

When it goes below service indicator 5000 km, i just book a date for service. At the service center, I just hand over the key fob to plug into their service computer. The key fob gives a more accurate service indication than the car and it always tell the SA to do the oil service when it is less than 5000km for the next service on the car. This is their secret SOP and they don't tell customers for some silly reasons. If your SA is making life difficult for you, then ask for another SA.

Daymmn...dnt know whats wrong with the new SA that attended me. If oil service less than 5000km can be done, mine only have 1000km more. Guess need to reschedule again. Will the assigned the same SA again?

Is it possible to get it done if i just drivein to the service center without making a service appointment?

Guys,

Does the 2010 320d has bluetooth funtion? I tried searching using the radio manual but it seems like there no options for bluetooth.

You can request for a change. If the SA is very lansi type or plain dungu, I usually ask for a change.

Drive-in is only for emergency service. You can try to bring your car to the service center and say you heard horrible growling sound from the engine and you refuse to go away unless they fix it on the spot
Go early in the morning if you want to do this.

Dear Chee Huat,

Yup.. my surname is Kong, and my initials is KCH.. same like yours lah..!! hahaaa..! welcome to the 'D'ark side.. :)

Enjoy the ride... :)

If yours come with the full iDrive kit then yes, bluetooth should be included in. You first need to pair your phone with the car :D

mavik,
nope mine is the non-idrive so i guess it doesnt hv bluetooth. so the phone button on the steering wheel is just for decoration purpose la..hehe

namidub/shul,
called quill PJ today, spoke to the SA(by the name Tan i guess) and he said the service can be done with 1000km left. fixed an appointment on Thursday.

Dear sifus

Last week I sent my car for service. However when I checked the oil level indicator ( a week later)it registered about 3mm more than the Max level (and showed >Max). I went back to the centre to get it rectified so that it read Max. However they said they checked the amount and told me that they have filled it according to the specified amount for 320D and that 5.2l and therefore it is ok. My question is if it is according to spec, why did the indicator registered >Max? Who should I trust? The SC or the indicator?

hi 320d,

how did you check the oil level? i thought in non idrive 320d we cannot check oil level electronically.

I checked it through the on board computer. It stated my oil level as >Max. Usually if it is between the min and max level, it will state OK.
