No bro...euro 4 doesn't add to the performance of the car, just cleaner emissions. Our friends tried the euro 4 diesel in s'pore.....Any luck with your 320d purchase? Contacted gameover?

his trip to china had been delayed :(

Filled up on Thursday morning, drove up to Penang, did what I had to do, drove down to Ipoh for lunch yesterday and arrived back in KL at around 5pm. There's still 90km left in the tank after a round trip of around 850kms... stunning.... outrageous....

wow. the meter indicates how many kms left?

90kms left in the tank. just filled up half an hour ago. consumption was at 6.6L/100km for the whole trip!!! Fantastich...

Just collected my car today. Made the long trip back home which I think will b quite the norm from now.

The German slut is simply astounding. Beast on tap on-demand.

Mighty glad I chose the 320d over the audi a4 1.8t or Passat cc. I think I'd felt inadequate in the latter two.

For the fence sitters considering between the 3 series models, do give this 320d a test drive. The torque is just orgasmic. I hv a colleague (club member) who bot the 323i a few months ago bcos of iDrive n today he is still fantasizing about the oil burner's torque which continues to leave an impression in his mind. Can see he has this 'should have..., if only....' thoughts lingering in his mind.

Truth be told. Had it been a toss between 323i and Passat cc, I'd chosen the VW. That's just my honest opinion. No malice intended.

The 320d is one monster of a ride and I do see myself very comfortable in it for at least another 3 years before the itch starts again. By then, let's hope they will bring in the 325d. Yummy-licious!!!!

If I recall there were two batches, the initial 320d touring E91 came around the time the original E9x was introduced in 2005 (?). I've seen one around my neighborhood, this was the 161hp version of the M47 engine. The next group are the ones you see today ie. the 177hp and 184hp BMW N47 based cars.

Gonna test drive the 320d. If both of us don't get irritated by the idling sound and the way it drives compared to my 325i, i'm gonna join ur club.

No kidding! Test drove several times already. Still thinking if i should go for it now seeing that its the end of the model lifecycle for E90 this year. Looking at a white (with black interior). Anyone has the saddle brown interior? Seems like a strange combo.

What will happen to your E46 325i?

I think u can't keep chasing trends.
Assuming the new model gets launched after cny in march 2012, u cant b sure if there is gonna b a 'd' model immediately. Not to mention the premium price too.
These thoughts did run thru my mind before I committed to the 320d 2 weeks ago. My conclusion, get the Pre-owned models from premium selection. The more than 40k+ discount for a 3 mth old model justifies the price cushion. More importantly, u get an immediate adrenaline fix from the intoxicating torque.
Never fails to put a smile on my face in every drive.

I hv the one with the 'strange' combo of White/saddle brown interior. Love it as it gives some vibrancy inside plus it's rare too

Yeap, the saddle brown gives some character to the interior! I gotmy interior in black which looks a bit staid now come to think of it.

right bak at kunka. if u keep on looking at the new models. it will be endless. tats y i fix my mind on 320D. still no luck looking for a cheap one :(

hi gameover,

so are u saying E90/91 was here as early as 2005?? and the current N47 engine is after 2009? it is hard to find a Touring then. i like wagon look. a bit converted to european tot.... :). regarding the clattering sound during idling, eventually you will get used to it very very quickly. it is a BMW and not a 'taxi' and people will still appreciate it. hahaha. if you are in europe, all these clattering tune is everywhere and they will surprise if you drive a petrol and think you are not 'green'.

it is a matter of time when we all move towards that... keep hunting... 320d Touring or 520d.

Have been waiting patiently to get my 320d. Previously supposed to get it end of last year for performance edition then heard about i-drive and gps update so waited and waited. Finally i-drive came but not for performance edition but the spec are now the same and save diesel even more. Along the way changes my mind so many times in terms of colour and interior. Finally, I am going to collect it this thurs. White exterior and brown interior. Will also stick a spoiler at the back as it looks good with white exterior.:marchmellow:
