Feedback on BMW Scanner 1.4.0

Anybody know how to solve the EWS problem.

Bought a key from china. Key can sync with the car. Can open/close the door lock but cannot start car.

Check the key information and found the info is different from the original. Anyone know how to resolve this issue.

rubes, not yet. I have abandon it. have you try tweiboon help. He have got the key writer for the ews.

I have the key writer as well, anyway your key can only open the doors because that is controlled by a different transponder. To use the key to start your car you need to read the key, if it is not closed yet.... remember the password for future reference. Then you will need to write it to your EWS.

If you still don't want to use the key then maybe you can consider donating the key for research purposes.... now I have one spare EWS and DME. This experience has put a lot of knowledge in my brains ....

China made one la.... EWS editor... thinking of getting AK-90 instead the EWS editor will require the removal of 2D47J chips. the AK-90 has an adaptor to read the chip without removal

Unfortunately No. for mac you have to use an xp emulator like VMware.

harbhajan, I think you should be able to do it without the scanner.

btw, why do you need to reset the date and time?

Do you mean setting the time and date instead?

Why do you think your OBC is kaput?
Perharp, a picture of the problem or OBC will help to identify.

i fitted my ori screen and did not get any display no picture,i wanted to set the dates and time,

bro harbhajan...sound like crazy but try to check your batery volt...last time i kena got power to start engine but my monitor & radio going crazy. Change to Din88 problem solve.

but till today i still can't use my scanner 100%..only can read my DME. than try to other car the scanner running perfect...

tried downloading 64bit drivers from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm but windows says unable to find drivers even i pointed to the correct location..

any bros here successfully installed in their win7 64bit system?

I have done it for my Win7 64bit Home edition..
