INPA is not so user friendly. I once was playing with program and I reset the throttle adaptation.
The idling speed went from 800 to 1200 rpm. Took me like another 30 minutes to get it back to normal.

Bro, yes you can. The cable one end is plugged to your laptop, the other end to the Scanner, with your engine running, you can view live data. But not sure if this live data can be saved or not, as I haven't tried so yet.

Bro thanks for the feed bck, but i just go through aildilj thread title EasyDIS 44 and INPA working it seem it was not working with the scanner.

No you can't do that. The kDCAN cable needs to be used with INPA or GT1, and it will be able to view live data. The scanner 1.4 software only works with the scanner 1.4 cable which you have now.

Yes bro you get my question, so that's means this K + D Can USB Cable plug in to BMW Scanner 1.4.0 was not able to read the live data.

I think i'm clear now it was two diff stuff. The GB of this K + D Can USB Cable are diff stuff which we need to download the software provided (DIS-55 Software running with VWare and INPA-EDIABAS and USB Driver) am i right bro ? :embarassed:

alex, in a nutshell,

you cannot use the BMW Scanner 1.4,0 model with INPA program

and you cant use K+Dcan USB cable with BMW Scanner program.

However, you can use the K+Dcan USB cable to run GT1 program and INPA program.

but one day, some one is gonna to hack the scanner program to see live data.

but for the time being, we do with what is available.

alex, so far I test the K+DCan cable on E46/318i/N42 engine and the live data is available using INPA.

Alex, I can't confirm if INPA will show live data for you because never tested it with M52TU. But INPA being the factory debug tool, it should be able to.

We can also wait for others with the cable to chime in (IanDaddy / xcrave). Or maybe you can have a tea session with Jarance to conclude this. :top:

Ok thank you bro, but im still confuse coz xcrave claimed that the scanner 1.4.0 can read his live data of his car. If im not mistaken his model was same as mine but the scanner can't read mine. :smokin:

haha, happened to me too.
Actually, you should not reset with the engine running. You need to pull the key out before you can insert and start the engine again if not the RPM will be high.

How did you managed to get live data? Some of the guys with the same model say that they cannot.

I guess what ichi82 was trying to say finally u arrange for GB for K + D Can USB Cable (INPA compatible) that can read the live data of his car, that's why at the last sentence he ask u to (sign him in for this new scanner cable..)
I might be wrong, pls confirm with him.

Yours E39? If it is E39, you need to tilt the scanner slight to plug it in. Just make sure that the connector "D" is facing
the right way. The scanner picture or label should be facing toward the door.

I have tried it on many E39 before and it can be done. Yes, it is a bit tight as pointed out by you.

welcome back ichi82 and congrats for the baby boy..

thanks bro..hmm..manage to run INPA using the download from 4shared. able to read live data but for some reason it is not in English. I may have installed./updated it wrongly. at least for now i am sure that the cable works. will try to re install it. GT1 still not able to connect yet. need to read more on it. from INPA i saw that there might be something wrong with my lamda sensor? how many do we have in N42? 4 is it? i think 2 of it is in red. will post the screen shot later. Fixed my leaking. Thnk God coz before this it was drinking engine about a liter within a week. cleaned and changed the oil filter and the gasket. did an oil change total inclusive labor just RM 426 ( harga kawan2 at my friend workshop in USJ ) Hopefully no issue after this. went to genting last week to test and no reduction to my engine oil so far.
