edit already ...

share your BVO story larr ...how the ride now ....

like Relared78 mentioned, the accelerator is much more lighter, now have to practice not resting the leg on it..either that or rest fully...
but overall, i feel a huge improvement in terms of pick up, being a single vanos. Am enjoying the instant response on throttle currently. Consumption have yet to monitor, as its too soon..Need to take it for a long drive to really see the impact.
That's what i wanted out this remapp, and Bernard has proven it again.
The wait was rather lenghty, but enjoyable, meeting up new faces was great. Thanks Iceman for ur advice and racuning.. ur ride is a stunner:rock:

how u car is 530 maa.

Driving my car has been quite addictive lately. I've been doing some late night drives around my area, bukit tunku, tmn duta, d'sara heights, bangsar. Nice roads to test.

yup....the remapping is very good. my friend feizaldzul after remapping, his car went so fast that the tyres came off!!!!

Bro, you don't only lose your tyres. Can lose friends as well.

Someone we know was at the remap to check it out. After testing a certain car similar to his, he was so affected that he has gone into hiding. I finally asked him why he is keeping a low profile, and he said that all the remapped cars are so fast now. This guy used to call me everyday....

haha, ask him to organise another trip for bernad to come up again. sorry brother i left b4 you done your remapping ( need to go and fetch gf ). now everytime when i step my paddel from stand still i feel the power.

Sounds like Mr. Alpinawheel to me! LOL!

This all is a bit over exaggerated imo ... Why not do and run before/after dyno test ? Its a bit like the ultimate butt dyno thing going on right now.

Just like how sprint booster gives the feeling but no extra power, i believe in remapping they do adjust the throttle sensitivity level inside the drive by wire mapping as well, apart from the little gain u get from a n/a 6 cylinder.

Same like how i put a sprint booster and say, hey go test your car out, then the wow factor came out, but on dyno sheet, fact remains that the feeling is not HP gains.

For example a 525i goes from 215hp to a claimed 227hp, and 185nm torque to a claimed 196nm
a 530i goes from 255 hp to a claimed 275hp, 220nm to a claimed 233nm.

gains are low, and after the power runs down to the wheels, the loss is even more.

Just my 2 cents, no other meanes.

As we all know, the petrol 6 cylinder of bmw are petty much no more headroom for power as they extracted almost everything of it already.

Anyway kudos to people who ramapped their car :) We're all enthusiast after all.

4 ppl went for the remap process, and the same 4 ppl felt the difference. go figrue..
the issue is not about gaining h/p or torque here. Its rather more on the feel of the drive. Well, at least i knew who i spoke to when i went for the remap, i didnt hear anyone mentioned that they wanted a h/p increase or torque increase. We know everything is just "claimed" nothing is certain. Sometimes, its good not to know something, but to just enjoy the outcome of it, n for sure, the outcome is great..for me at least.
So my friend, whether gained or loss, the ride drives better, n we feel good about it.
To u its no fraction of a difference since u drive the ///M categry, but to us, yeah, made hell of alot of difference..n we're satisfied..

oh yes, to add on, i do remember seeing 2 ppl who really had a blast driving one of the cars..2 ppl who weren't in the list..

blast ? how big of a blast ? very little ? very much ?

i just felt like what's said was like after the remap, the remapped car is is said to be so fast that the original car wouldn't want to follow anymore, but anyway, i would like to see how good the tune is, i got another 525i , maybe one day we could try as well ? :)

think u misunderstood what i meant by blast there..but anyways, no one including me ever mentioned about the car being so fast that other cars couldnt follow. That's nonsense to the core. Like i said, its more of the feel of the drive that ur aiming for, rather than "being fast"..dont misconstrue info here buddy..if ur pointing out what Realred78 mentioned earlier, it was just a figure of speech...humour??
as for ur last line, i dont think its appropriate to try out anything, we have our differences, we have our own understanding abt the idea of remapping. I got what i wanted, and im happy with that. :burnout:

Maybe we should have done a before and after dyno test. However, we did not. As for me, my issue was about the lag (delay) when I floor the accelerator pedal before the car drops gear or shoots off from stand still. This has been rectified by the remap.

Another thing that is a fact is that the gears will pull to 6500 rpm even when on normal mode (non-sport).

Also a fact for my car, is that the rpm from 3500 - 6500 is a lot faster than before.

These are not mere feelings. Furthermore, I reckon that since I am very happy with my performance and do not feel that the amount I paid for the remap is excessive, then it is fine.

For my own satisfaction, I am arranging to test my car against a friend's E60 530i 2004. Our previous test he was slightly slower from standstill but in mid-range, it passed me. Will let you know how it goes.

Cheers everyone, maybe we got each other wrong.

we are just passionate about cars, and i am quite technical in terms.

Can I ask please, if normal mode is so much improved, is there further improvement in sports mode or actually, normal and sports mode is the same now?
