Thanks guys! Suffice to say, I'm surfing all over the place to check on reviews of the car. There's very little on the 323i though but a lot on the 335i. Also, it's odd that in UK (where a lot of the reviews I like are from) the Coupe is available in 325i, 330i and 335i. Why did BMW choose to provide the 323i instead of 325i in some markets?!!

So, if you guys got any reviews you wanna share, please post it here. It would be greatly appreciated!

LOL wow a lot has happened within our E9x community.

Congrats to JP!

Arctic A34 is the same on the E92 as it is on the E90. Its a hard color to photograph depending on light and angle. I also agree that arctic looks different on the E92 which I attribute to the lines/angles of the car over the E90. Early look at the BMW visualizer produced a color, arctic white, that looks much like the pics already posted i.e. a pale arctic silver. I forgot the details but iirc they changed that and decided to offer the A34 in place. I'll check...

Is your interior grey or jade grey (2 tone)? I think your color combo works in Malaysia, grey to keep the interior cool and arctic just looks better under much sunlight. To truly appreciate arctic, you need to live in a sunny place.

This is a pic of arctic in gloomy wintry France, it looks quite dull here

For reviews, I think the best match would be the canadian spec base spec 323i E90. I'll look it up, but the specs should be similar. Its a detuned version of the N52B25 I think.

I had a rough Sunday. We were out of town for a drive/meet (6 cars), well the day ended with a brand new E90 335i (tuned) totalled. I can't get into too much details on an open forum pending investigations but the driver's is alright.

Btw JP, the Procede tuned 335i is one helluva car. You'll love it, there were two at yesterday's meet, absolute turbomonsters.

JPB, Artic is my fav color. I remember KL2DC also making it his choice of color in his next E92 335i ride. Its an awesome color man!

lol Yeah I was leaning on arctic on my next E90 or E92, but, fickle-minded that I am, I've come to like the Space Grey/Coral Red/Aluminum combination (awesome!), with a Montego Blue/Saddle/Burl walnut combo as 2nd choice, on the E92.

For the E90, I'd still pick a Arctic/Black/Aluminum combo with Montego Blue/Black/Aluminum as 2nd choice. I love my Sparkling Graphite but its become too common, pity, its such a lovely color!

To each his own...the only potential drawback selling the car later.... I think arctic (personal point of view) has a narrower audience

...good luck!

I disagree, arctic is pretty much silver, and you know how popular silver cars are  (esp in Malaysia).

Hi guys! Just back from my trip.

Don't worry, JPB, it's fun to share in your excitement at getting an E92 :) Whatever colour it is, it's a humdinger of a car!

Rev KL2DC is in Washington, which is 13 hours behind us. Much as he's crazy about E90/92s, even he needs to sleep. Expect a slew of comments from him in.... exactly one hour when he reaches his office and starts his work day by surfing BMW posts :D :D :D

LOL your post cracked me up, even after the day I had yesterday. Thanks.

Where did you go?

Gee Willikers, who in this current era, still say 'humdinger' ?! :D

well for all the E92 owners and futures owners ...nice to c some of this crusing along our roads..cant really guess d colour..looks like space grey according d bmw malaysia website...anyway its just NICEEEEEE...

Hey KL2DC! Big bro of the E90 community! I've been checking out your main hangout at e90post.com and getting a lot of views (too much in fact!!). Looks like the Arctic ain't a fav in the US, scoring 2nd last in the polls, only ahead of the worst colour, Deep Green by one vote! Everyone seems to love the Montego Blue, Alpine White and Space Grey. Incidentally, Space Grey was my first choice. It was a Space Grey & White combo which made me change my mind about going for the E92 but regretably, someone beat me to that car by 24-48 hours! I hope you're right about Arctic showing its true magic in sunny environments cos if so, then it'll look really special in Malaysia, being so rare i.e. not offered in CKDs.

Fraks Selva! The picts look great but I just felt the wallet in my pants burning! The E92 looks awesome in lowered big rims set-up!

JP, I think that space grey probably had the two tone jade grey interior or even cream beige. Space grey is a nice color and its one that is E92/E93 specific (well, the new E70 X5 comes in Space grey), along with coral red and grey poplar wood trim.

The US tastes are very narrow scoped and conservative. They can't seem to get around the blacks, silvers, greys and whites. Actually, montego blue is a color most have a hard time deciding on. The initial ones that have went with the montego blue are the younger crowd. The other belief is that arctic is a demure and classy color more suited to the E90/E91 than the sporty E92/E93.

I've seen arctic E92 in person (check e90post's arctic E92 thread), and I must say from a far, it looks remarkably similar to space grey. But under direct light, you can see the dynamicism of the color. Its not a bad choice.

The other thing is US buyers are generally adverse to greens (now) and in gloomy weather, arctic appears almost seafoam green and this turns people off. I think this will be a rare problem in sunny Malaysia.

Let me ask you, how much of a wait for special order. If you're not 100% sure of the color, you really should wait and order one to your exact tastes, especially with that kind of cash outlay.

Stick around e90post, you'll learn so much there.

The waiting period for the next batch of E92s is about 4-5 months i.e. July or August 2007. It's a long wait since I'm relinquishing my E46 by end of this month. It's a bit scary cos I've not seen the Arctic on the E92. You know how it is in Malaysia. I decided on this colour cos grey BMWs are getting too blardy common. This has a lot to do with very poor i.e. limited range of colours on CKDs. So, if a buyer doesn't want black, silver or blue, they inenvitably choose SG or Space Grey on their E60s or X5s. I'm hoping the Arctic will make my car look unique and indistinguishable as an E92. After all, I'm spending more of my blood earned dosh on a car with less doors and equipment i.e. the E92's seats are not even fully electric with no memory function and CD changer!

The same people who stick with 'gee willikers'. Went for a pleasure cum business trip down under.

JPB, what'd I tell you? Right on cue, but he got in the office late because of his wretched Sunday outing :D

I think your reasoning that Arctic would be nice in Malaysia because it would be unique is sound. There are few other choices that're not common anyway. Take the plunge!

Silver on its own...yes...Arctic is silver with a tinge of blue, green, etc, depending on the angle. There is one Arctic 330 for sale, pre-reg by Auto Bavaria....has been there for awhile :)

Procede...yummy...hope to get one soon...once shiv gets his "production issues" sorted out and is comfortable with a Procede running in a Asian spec car

There is an artic E90 roaming around KLCC area with 19" Hartge rims, M bodykit, carbon fiber front lips and lowered. Looks absolutely stunning!!

... There's an SG available (with black interior) in BMW Malaysia's vault but it's a 2006. The Arctic / Gray is the only 2007 car at the moment.

JPB - did the Arctic/Grey come in at the same time as the rest of the e92s? If it did, I would really check if the Arctic is a 2007 car

Eh...Silver is silver. Actually even grey is a shade of silver...if you want to get philosophical like that ;)

I can imagine JP putting his car up for sale under different color listings. If a call comes in for a light blue car, JP just has to make sure to show the car under the right lighting lol :p

A 335i is a 335i, I don't see a problem with Procede in a Malaysia-spec 335i. Actually the new Procede is easier to install. Shiv installed one in my friend's 335i E92 at a petrol station in less than an hour.

Wow 4-5 months...that sucks. We wait about 6-8 weeks for a new custom order. Well there's a much longer wait for the E92 335i which is in hot demand.

Arctic really isn't a stand out color. If you want to stand out then ger crimson red or montego blue. It doesn't matter the color, the E92 will stand out, so you're ok on that.

First mod, debadge that sucka ;)

Second mod, get some 18"s or 19"s. The E92 design makes wheels smaller than they really are...

BBS LMs FTW

M6 reps aren't too bad on the E92 as well (M-Sport kit shown)

Not in Malaysia - all 335s that arrived in Malaysia are manufactured in 2006 and that is what appears in the registration card. I think it works differently in the US

My point about arctic is that it is not really the silver that people are used to. I am not debating the different shades of silver. Plus, my view on arctic is mine. If JPB likes it, he likes it :)

On the procede, yeah, told shiv that it should be the same but just that we are running on higher octance. but like i said, he needs to sort out his production first...plus i have to get a car first :D
