Congrats to JPB. Our 1st owner of the chick magnet E92 in the club

Wow. News travel fast! Unfortunately, the showroom E92 I wanted is not available for sale. I just got news that someone beat me to it by 24 hours!! My saleslady is checking whether there is available stock in other showrooms or elsewhere. If not, the waiting period is 4-5 months cos it's CBU! There's a sparkling graphite variant with black interior at AB Segambut which I wouldn't mind cos the darker colour makes the car and 17" eclipsal rims stand out more. If I can't get the E92 I want, I might have to settle for the E90 after all.

JPB - what colour are you looking for? There is one unit in Sg Besi (not sure of the colour), one in Segambut (SG) and if you are looking outside AB, a black unit in Sapura

Hi Meinauto, the showroom unit which I want in AB Glenmarie is in Space Grey with white interior. Funky ain't it? The one in Segambut is a Sparkling Graphite / Black version. I would love to know what's available from AB Bukit Bintang and Sg. Besi. There's no available unit in Sapura Auto. They only have a 335i Coupe and I understand that's been sold / taken by Sapura Auto's big boss.

Sapura had a black on black a few weeks back. It was sitting upstairs...unless they are not selling it. If I am not mistaken, the one in Sg Besi is also SG

Oooh E92, way to go JPB! I dont know abt what other ppl say but I still believe in CBU. If need to wait, wait lah I have no regrets getting a CBU unit.

OK, I just a full listing of what's available for sale from AB. There are only 4 cars. The only colours I'm willing to consider is Sparkling Graphite / Black or Arctic / Grey. I had to make an instant decision to secure the car, so I went for the Arctic / Grey. Now, I'm a bit puzzled cos the Arctic on the Coupe and Sedan looks different from BMW's global website. On the Sedan, it looks a bit greenish and it's called Arctic but on the Coupe, it's a bit white and it's called Arctic White. It's baffling. The other plus points for the Arctic is it is a CBU colour i.e. the CKD 320i won't have the same colour unlike the SG and the Arctic car is also the only 2007 car, the other 3 being 2006 models. So, how lah?!! I called E46F immediately but he oso tussling between Arctic or SG.

BTW, I can't go to Sapura Auto now cos AB will forfeit my booking fee.

To each his own...the only potential drawback selling the car later.... I think arctic (personal point of view) has a narrower audience

For what its worth... I've booked the E90 325i Sports, the "practical" choice

Going with titanium silver and a grey interior as my current E46 is black both inside and outside! Plus the silver contrasts nicely with the black bits below the bumper (what's that part called?) in the M-sports kit.

Also getting the blacklines, which should further enhance the rear look.

Agree on the uniqueness of Artic color esp here in Msia. Not many around. To me what ever color you get after sometime you will just learn to live with it.

Just tat darker colored cars tend to look more sporty. So it's really up to you JPB. Anyhow I think a lot of us wish that we were in your predicament.......deciding what color E92 to get. Count your blessing man!

Anyways, I spoke to my friend in Sapura Auto. He just told me to "grab" cos there's a shortage of E92s from BMW Malaysia. They were allocated 10 cars in Jan but all sold out except a Silver / Black version which is just too boring cos that's what I've in my CKD E46!

Its a dynamic color... tilt your LCD screen on your laptop and it becomes whiter at some angles and greener in others.. LOL.. Thats why the color is so nice ler heh.

Thanks Danc, I just told E46F that after reviewing the picts of E92s on e90post.com, I too find the E92's lines much sportier in the darker SG colour. It's just that I need to take quick delivery cos I just sold my E46 and the buyer only willing to let me keep the car till end of this month. There's an SG available (with black interior) in BMW Malaysia's vault but it's a 2006. The Arctic / Gray is the only 2007 car at the moment. I'm also a bit bored of black interior. I told my AB salesperson to make sure it's Arctic i.e. the one on the E90 and not the Arctic White in the international website visualisation. She just re-confirmed it's Arctic Arctic. I really hope that turns out to be the case. My car is now gonna go for customs clearance and should arrive at AB in 10 days! Woohooo!!! Let you guys know in time if it improves my sex life.

BTW, hope I'm not off-topic yakking about E92 in an E90 thread.... KL2DC still no where to be found ah?!!

Hi guys! Just back from my trip.

Don't worry, JPB, it's fun to share in your excitement at getting an E92 Whatever colour it is, it's a humdinger of a car!

When you finally settle down after a few years of E92 fun, perhaps you'll post pics of your prospects and we'll comment, tilt the screen, etc and help you choose one to marry

Rev KL2DC is in Washington, which is 13 hours behind us. Much as he's crazy about E90/92s, even he needs to sleep. Expect a slew of comments from him in.... exactly one hour when he reaches his office and starts his work day by surfing BMW posts
