Wow, RM445 is more than double the selling price from spare parts shops.

ahah.....there's yr problem.when you put yr finger kat vent tu ada rasa suction x?klau rasa...yr diaphragm dah bocor and needs changing.

the reason yr engine macam nak mati when the vent is closed is becoz the engine has adapted to the leak.try closing the vent for a bit and let the idle system re adapt itself.klo it stabilises after awhile....then yr ccv memang dah bocor....update us bro....
Bought the ccv..do we need to remove the manifold? If so, do we have to replace the gasket as well?

Can get the spare tank for rm200 la bro
Aiyo, sotong again!
I did it at Albert's place.
They told me there are two tanks available,
One made is Germany, price at about Rm 200 plus while the original from bmw price at about rm 445.
And they advised to use the original for sustainability.
Don't know how true is it....?
Can sifus advise?
If really kena con, then I should give Albert a call to seek clarification.

Normally i get the BEHR one, its the original part with the BMW logo grinded off, its the same part but with BEHR packaging, not BMW at rm200-250 depending where you get it from.

Knowing Albert for my entire bmw's life, I don't think you got conned..as for your statement you opt for the original, right? he did told you about the price...there are so many type of people...some will go for original part no matter how much, some may choose generic one (kind to their pocket), and some even go for chop shop one!
Better get clarification from him bro...

Yes, no doubt that Albert is one honest guy.
To be fair, they did told me that the oem is cheaper (rm 200 plus).
I just want to check if I was charged correctly.

Anyway, I've given Albert a call.

He confirmed the original spare tank from BMW cost rm 445. yet, this was the old stock price he purchased last year. In fact, the new price has increased to rm 500 plus this year.

Thanks for the info sifu.
Maybe I'll use your approach next time :).

Anyway, I'm fine as long as the original (wt BMW logo) I purchased is priced at the similar level with the market.

my aircon compressor ran it's last miles. changed the compressor, dryer, gas and labour for rm2,400. now the aircon is too cold :D
Mike...where did you get your aircond repaired?

this afternoon, my aircon control module merajuk. firstly, it refused to respond when I pressed the buttons. then after reaching home and switching off the car, the aircon kept running blowing hot air at full blast and as if the heater was on. started the car and it continued to blow hot air at full blast. then the module went blank. drove to KnS and dismantled the module so that the aircon would stop blowing. now waiting for a chop shop unit tomorrow.

mick......classic symptom off a failed FSU - final stage unit...google this.lots of info.

but about the control unit display going blank...not sure....

i remember i changed the fsu recently as it was not blowing cold air. this was before the compressor failed :) let's see what happens after i replaced the control module, hopefully by today as the weather is just so so hot these days :)

Guys,

Im planning to change my absorber and headlamp (crack). Got quotation from Inner Power as below:

Blistein B4 (front) = 465 x2 = RM930
Blistein B4 (rear) = 365x2 = RM730
Damper (front) = 25x 2 = RM50
Damper (rear) = 30x2 = RM60
absorber tube = 15x4 = RM60
mounting = 75 x 4 = RM300
Total = RM2130

And for front headlamp facelift (hella) = RM1150 x 2 = RM2300

So is that a reasonable price? Or u guys have other recommendation or somthing..appreciate the feedback..
