Hi Moots,

Mine is the M52TU and I am pretty sure this sensor also reads the oil temperature. I clean it and the temperature reading improve a bit but still very fluctuative so I was contemplating weather to change it. Never tried the oil low level function since we already have the dip stick. Will try the next oil change.

Tks.

from where did you read the fluctuating temperature?

came back from jalan ipoh. bought oil level sensor, hella brand, rm162. bosch wiper rm90 per pair.

Salam and hi to all,
Last 2 week while long distance driving, my car aircond suddenly turn off, and on (intermittent). When it turn off, it cannot be turn on at all.
Today went to aircond workshop here in k.terengganu and the mechanic told had to replace the aircond blower resistor since it will shutdown the aircond when it is hot.
Changed the aircond blower resistor for RM300.:top:View attachment 27348View attachment 27349View attachment 27350

but before this how did u know your sensor had problem? from the scanner? if without scanner is it possible to know the sensor is kong? sorry for many questions. newbie here. hehe.

I drive a 2001 model. The interior deserves to be refreshed.

If someone may be so kind to recommend a shop. :)

Here are my intentions.

1) Change wood panels to silver / sporty look.
2) The roof fittings are torn and must be replaced.
3) The leather strappings on door handles to be changed.
4) Floor mats.

Fixed the top hose (near the Thermostat housing) today .. due to minor leak ..
Together with one bottle of coolant .. the damage is RM250.

initially from my scanner.without it you won't know.

also confirmed when my car kenot start....the oil level sensor was blowing a fuse in the glovebox and not allowing the car to start.the workshop removed the oil level sensor connector and replaced the fuse. only then can start.he said dont put back the connector or fuse will blow again.so at the last oil chg i replaced the oil level sensor.....

:( oh well. that's the problem when we go and not knowing what parts will need to be changed.

by the way, I also ask Optimum to check the price of the heater coil. it's a 1 month delivery and cost 1050. will get mine changed out soon.

How much does it cost for E39 dipstick O-Ring and Power steering O-ring that near to our oil sump?

i think i kena chop by one of the famous mecahnic shop.

dipstick O-Ring RM35.00
Cooler O-ring RM40.00 for 2 pcs

thought about that last time but too cold in the morning. further not nice to delete some feature of the car even though not that important here..hehe

anyway, how do you bypass? just block the inlet going in the heater or bypass the circulation?

i bypassed it also about 6 months ago to confirm if the minor coolant leak that has been bugging me is from that part. after bypassing it, the level is normal. so the culprit is caught :D just as eau-rouge, i find it too cold in mornings so thinking of replacing it. still thinking about it though. BA doen't even bother bringing it in and just told me nobody replaces it :O
