Yupe bro, i am thinking where should i send the car to get the seal replace too..headache.

Hi guys, I have changed my right rear light bulbs (3rd brake light n rear light bulbs) after the warning came out. BUT after the change the warning light is still on. How do i fix it, need help please.
i also have the same experience. You have to get the bulbs which consume the proper amount of current.

Where did you get the bulb? 2 main ways like some pointed out... either you got the bulb from a normal hardware shop/car stokis which gave you a bulb that looked the same with the same 'kaki'.... but actually is not for the car OR your other bulbs are on it's way out too.

If you got the bulb not from someone who deal with Bimmer things, I would think that particular bulb might be the problem. Happened to my mate... paid and extra $1 for the correct bulb and error went away. Just borrow a mates bulb and try la, if error go away, then u know the culprit de.. Hope this helps

Apparently. alternator is the culprit for my battery problem.
Got it changed yesterday after the battery light came out. It was repaired last year. Quite surprised to see that it lasted for more than a year.
New alternator: RM1480
Labour : RM120
Total: RM1600

Very expensive. Bro Zidee just changed his alternator about 3 weeks ago, RM810 parts only from BA. Labour RM50. Bosch alternator.

My Battery died-ed on me this morning...

Replaced with DIN 88 Century Marathoner - RM350 after traded in the old one.

You almost gave me a heart attack there. My first thought was that I got ripped off by my own friend there... A quick call to BA revealed that there are actually two types of alternators. One with RM 810 price tag and the other is RM1430. I guess mine is the latter

What are the differences? Anyway just checked with bro Zidee, the labour was RM130 not RM50.

The one he got came in a Bosch box but with BMW logo on the alternator itself. I paid RM1150 for the same one in Penang.

just changed several things.. this is as far as i remember as my dad holds the receipt.

thought the main culprit for the ting-ting sound is my center support bearing or long shaft coupling, but actually its the Constant-velocity joint..to replace they told me around 1.6k

Changed my sensors recently..
Camshaft sensor (siemen) rm300
Crankshaft position sensor (vdo) rm230

Why do you change the two sensors....any problems before that?

Sometimes my engine didnt start up. It cranked but occasionally failed to run.. I sent it to w.shop, it was diagnosed and found the culprits. Both were bought from Bomin auto.
