Anyone has replaced the flywheel oil seal recently?
Would like to know the cost breakdown especially on the labour...
i know that it needs a lot of work to change the seal..but what is the reasonable range for the labour cost?

I also wish to get the answer from e39 fella.

bimmerholic;741420 said:My E39 just clocked 333,000 KM and the engine has only been treated with Fully Synthetic 5W40 since released from the showroom.
So depending on what your past history of your car is (what engine oil it was using), i would think it's better to continue using that grade (semi synth or fully synth). I don't see a reason for the switch from semi to fully if your car has been using semi all this while. Save that extra dough for something else.
Ericchinz;741658 said:I'm not sure what the engine oil it has been treated...maybe lousy oil or what ..
so..now giving it fully??
And the headlight needs to change a new one. Can't see while driving at night, where to buy? eBay?
