just want to share my latest bill:

valve cover gasket = RM95
Radiator Bottom Hose = RM120
Power Steering Hose (pump to tank) = RM110
O-Ring = RM6
Power Steering Fluid = RM 21
Battery Water (2 Liter) = RM4
Radiator Coolant = RM16
Labour = RM120
Total = RM491

where did you service your car? I need to replace my power steering hose.

Radiator Coolant = RM16.....that's cheap! Is it the original BMW coolant (1.5L)? The last time i bought this is RM30 for a bottle.

Its not original coolant ..i just use petronas 2L and mix it with battery water..

bought my a/c filter (with activated carbon) for RM 140, izzit a fair price to pay?
I was told that 97 E39 ZF g/box uses Dextron 3 fluid instead, can someone verify?

Wah bro u kena cut throat?? Last time I bought my rear power window for only RM220 without motor. Its taiwan made but even ori will not cost more than RM500. Even the A/C filter also quite expensive.

i changed the whole thing plus motor , ori parts wit bmw logo., not only the the lifter. here in kl the price is about that range for ori lifter+motor.i asked around few shops, bav oto, 1s div, inner pawa, all quote me the similar range price. if u can get the rear lifter set for rm220, i might want to buy a set later for spare.

i know its expensive for meyle cabin filter.

Use Dextron 3 ATF in 5HP18 E39 ,.....get ready RM8K to repair.

Who told you? The guys from the US based forums? transmission fluids used are to be based on the type of gearbox not on the year of manufacture.

ZF gearboxes all use ZF or esso LT fluids be it year 1996 or 2002.. The Jatco Japanese gearboxes ( japan spec cars up to sept 1998) I think they use normal ATF Dextron II. Which ones are u talking about?

mine is dec96 uk spec.....guess it is 5HP18 that uses ESSO LT, the clowns
here must be ill advising me. I've got my other optra 1.8 that uses ZF 4HP16
that uses GM's ATF which cost RM79 per litre.

ZF oil for BMW cost about RM 50 per litre

This, u can ask pcchuah. I think he's been there or going there for his service. I think they been around for quite some time.

Recently the car feel jerking notably during 2nd and 3rd gear. Must be due to regular commuting LDP whereby my gearbox stuck on these gears. Is it the gearbox nearing to kaput or something else. Thank you for your time.
