anybody have any idea if the price is for a pair or just one piece?

2) my water pump needs to be replaced as well...as always there is a german replacement part and bmw original part...i think the german OE is rm220 and the bmw original part between rm360-rm400

anybody knows if there is much difference between the two parts?

I paid around RM480 per piece for the ori BMW brake pads. Heard that the "compatibles" are around 400+ a pair, but the braking system is one of the few things I'd rather not stinge on...

My water pump need to change also la.

Went to investigate the price to E.Y.L Service in Desa Pandan
RM 240 + labour RM 60. Then ask my regular mech for my proton
car and he said around RM 160 excluding labour.

I have no idea if both are german OEM or BMW ori.

wah, that's plenty of refill man! suggest you replace water pump (and thermostat) the soonest. mana tau one day too sibuk no time or forget to put water then kena stuck in bad traffic jam... engine overheats... if that happens, sakit man...

Probably for 2, I think I put that up quite a long time ago, can't remember exactly, if I dig up the invoice I will update you. However, a faster way would just to give BA a call and check. Price might be higher now due to Euro.

IMHO wear and tear parts such as upper and lower arm you should get new instead of 2nd hand. You do not know the condition of 2nd hand parts and how long they will last esp for high wear and tear parts like the suspension components. Who knows you get a 2nd hand set, they work great then 1 month later they go KO on you and you need to folk out $$ again to buy parts and labour to install.

Might as well buy new parts which you will know will last you at least several years. Other none essential parts such as lights, handles, steerings, body kits, etc are a good bargain 2nd hand and you do not need to worry abt them breaking down since they are mostly passive components.

If you are really on a budget then I guess no choice lor, go for 2nd hand suspension parts. Thats just my 2 cents worth.
