Not sure about the validity of that statement, because normally convertibles are slightly heavier than their fixed roof cousins due to the extra reinforcements needed in the floor area to stiffen the car. A bit pedantic on my part, but just for your info only due to the popular beliefs that convertibles are lighter.

Agreed with that Haywire! Remembered reading about that when BMW Mag covered the E31 8 series convertible... The one that they never got round to building.

I recalled the article mentioning that the car would be heavier that the coupe cousin since more reinforcements were needed...

So, what does enid have under the hood? Cannot be siput right? :biggrin:
