Outstanding job in leading this drive, CM Kojak. I look forward to an exciting drive this Saturday.

I'm ready to help in any way I can. Just give me a buzz.

I share the same predicament as ecco and I thank the CM for addressing this issue. the slowest group should leave first and the lead car should not do more than 110kmh and the groups should be smaller because if its a huge number of cars and the lead car is doing 110, the cars right at the back have to do around 150-170 to keep up....my 2 cts..

John,

Noted taken and thanks for your advice. CM will do it best to ensure this large convoy will proceed smoothly. Having said that, CM also appeal to all participants to at all times observe our rules & regualtions as mentioned in the above post.

We also appreciate and advise all participants to arrive at BHP pertol station (after Gombak toll) on or before 7.00 am. This would enable CM to distribute car stickers, payment & collection of t-shirts, payment for durian buffet and safety briefing.

The convoy will depart at 8.00 am SHARP in 4 groups of about 15 cars per group. Participants who are late will have to make their own way to Bentong (our next meet up point).

I beg to differ it should be the slowest group last...bcos the faster group will catch up in no time since its going to be a long drive....and youre back to square one.

Those days we printed numbers on the drive sticker so that u know which car u should be following eg. The first car is number 1 and second is 2 and so on.that way the Marshall whose job is to keep everyone in line will be able to spot out who is out of line and the drivers can also remember who to follow.

This way the CM have to do their homework first ...they need to allocate the numbers to the faster & slower cars the day b4 the drive..

so the fastest group reach first and wait for the slowest? anyway, you're entitled to your own view too...cheers

Tq to d organisers for doing this drive but I really pity them. So many complains even before drive started. Too fast, canot keep up, u turn home, dangerous, blah blah blah. In the earlier days - no gps, no talkies (only appx 5 of us in club have it) no complains before n after drives, everyone enjoyed n reach home safetly

aduii...yalah bro...better to let them sort it out....too many 2cts...my fault...hehehehe

For the fast group, it's either they wait at the destination (go first) or the starting point (go last). My advise is to let them go first, they are the foot soldiers, front liner that test for landmines (road blocks, speed traps, missing road sections, slippery sections, nail on the road, etc) and I'm sure they won't mind sacrificing themselves for the greater good of all.

Haha.. am not going also got 2cts.. :4:

too many smart fellers there days .... and indeed it's getting complicated ...

even the ///M FEST drive was organized pretty well and we should see the way they handle us till the top of the hill ..hat off to the orginizers

John for those "fast" drivers that arrive at meet up point earlier, we have time to open our bonnets to allow our engines to de- strees while the drivers TCSS n find a place for teh tarik.

Also remember d mother with her 6 month old baby n our ex-treasurer in our convoys who have never got lost or felt that our drives are dangerous and u turn home driving their non M "underpowered" 4 potters :)

it is always a thankless job being organisers, and you can never please everybody. CM's, just do what feel is right; balance the safety precautions with need to make drive more exciting than a Merdeka procession. see you guys tomorrow..

Okok..i changed my plan. Can i still join this drive? Pleazeeee

Luckily for the orgyniser that I am not here for the Drive otherwise it is not only 2cents worth of comment or complaints but a ton of rubbish haha

Just enjoy your drive and drive safe that's all to it. Remember there is no prize for arriving first or fines for arriving last

Guys,

I think there should be enough discussion on which group should go first and etc etc. Please allow CM to do the neccesary.

CM has received good news from Police Bentong & Raub. Convoy will be escorted and lead by Bentong Police to the border of Raub. Raub Police will take over the escort and lead us to durian orchard.

A word of caution and advice from the Head of Traffic, Police Bentong & Raub. Our convoy is advised to keep within the speed limits of the KL-Bentong highway as the Police will be seen as the official escort for our convoy/day's event. It would reflect very bad on them if any our cars from our convoy is captured by cameras for speeding that day.

A special thanks to OM Mashboiler and OM Harbajan for facilitating and CM Kojak for following up with Ketua Polis Traffic Bentong & Raub.

A Reminder to All Participants

1. Please be at meeting point BHP petrol station (after Gombak toll) at 7.00 am for collection of car stickers (OM free & CG RM10), t-shirt, durian buffet payments, safety briefing.

2. Convoy will depart at 8.00 am SHARP.
