The retrofit kit is only small pack and we not need to pay tax, the price is net price. But we need to pay damn high tax if we buy the paddle shift steering wheel. So the retrofit kit looks ok to me.

Bro, my M steering + retrofit kit = SMG steering? How easy to get the retrofit kit working in my M steering? Plug and play too?

Its not actually a retrofit kit, its more like buying spare parts.

It involved cutting the rear leather, cutting the metal and drilling holes to mount the screws.

Bro Zidee has bought two steerings from UK, one M sports steering and one SMG steering, and both doesn't incur any taxes. He said to me if its a used steering, declared as gift at £50 (less than RM500)the customs doesnt charge taxes.

BMW option thailand is selling the paddle shift streeing for 26000baht and the slip ring for 3000baht the last time I ask. Total is only about RM3k brand new without airbag. I bought the normal M streeing instead at 18000baht.

Check again today with them

Steering with p/shift -THB 3,2000
Slip ring - THB 4000
Use AB - THB 1,2500

U have to buy the single stage steering. The shape looks exactly like the below one but when u take out the airbag, u know the different.

To mod the dual stage steering to the car, u have to cut something and drill 3 holes.
