go and ask your mech, Im sure he can do it too.

i chk u need another wire to connect to dme from the mf streering to make the cruse control work and the radio should be no problem, chk with yr mech..

Guys, if cars doesn't have cruise control function. It is not possible to just activate or connect it to DME. Unless ur car is a Drive-By-Wire model.
On older E46 model, cruise control is using an actuator motor to pull the throttle cable to maintain certain speed to cruise. So you need to buy the actuator and retrofit kit. Plus on older E46 model, slip-ring female connector for multifunction function is empty. You need to buy a newer version slip-ring to connect the multifunction cable.

Oh yes, by the way. It is more like Karl Benz I think..

Guys, just to give u some input as my is a 328ci year 2000. It comes with the standard non multifunction steering wheel.

I bought the 3 spoke steering from one of the forumner and got it installed. TO my surprise, not only the radio buttons are working but that of the cruise control.

I think its pre-wired but wasnt sold for that spec.

I was told that some cars with high specs have it though it wasnt meant to provide, ie like my case, cruise control was not provided. My guess is if your car has foldable mirror as original and/or have electric seats and./or expandable seats, likely cruise control wiring is ready.

Rgds

Bringing up an old thread. Anybody has new insights on this?

Where is a good place to get a non-multi-function-steering-wheel-car to become multi-functioned??

My friend in bayernz Bukit Mertajam told me that they did a conversion before. I am also interested to know but a lot of messy works and money sure involve.
