I thought you guys will collect the money to buy the sundries. Unless you guys are not planning to buy sundries and wish to make a donation under the club name, I think it would be more advisable to collect among ourselves.

In my opinion, most home operator will take a "cut" whenever they received a donation if I am not mistaken. If we buy the sundries, we are ensuring the food goes to the occupant of the home.

If we are going to the boys and girls home from experience they will be more happy if we buy food stuff like sweets, chocolates, cakes,chips and soft drinks like coke or even Ribena and maybe we can also bring them some reading materials like cartoon or comics or even Lat books and some simple toys or games like Freebies or skipping ropes for the girls. They would appreciate it very much because they know what food, books and toys are compare to a piece of paper like a check. By doing this u can see all the happy faces enjoying the food and toys. So if u give a check it is meaningless to them cause all they see is a piece of paper. Monetary value is no value to them in their world. This is just my own view and suggestion.
