What is the first responce when people see drive a BMW

Coming from a genuine Alpina E28 owner, who lives nearby when he saw my ride:

Wah, real Alpina ah?

My answer was: No lah, put sticker only.

My answer is, it's an old 7 silis laa. Less than RM 20K only nowadays.

But, they still find that hard to believe.

So, that's Bimmers for you I suppose.

Yea......people always thinking that I had it like forever.......when I say some 'cock price' like 100k over for my E38 they usually believe (of course I tell them the real price later just to see their reaction).

the guard who opens the gate always wave at me...

There was this incident a few years back where I drove to Sg Petani court with my Kancil and I entered the court compound to park coz we had the Bar Council Crest at the car plate and we were on official legal work there.

The guard stopped us and did not let us in where it is std that cars with such crest can park inside at the legal officers car park area. He asked me in a tone which I did not like, where the hell did I take the Bar Council Crest from and I can not park inside. He must have thought I stole it and that crest should not be on my silly Kancil. !@$%$%^&&&%&((()*&^

While arguing, a few Merc and BMWs passed by with such crest and the guard raised up his hand to the drivers in respect even though the driver was not really bothered to look at him.

Hell man... I was so pissed of such a double std... but what to do, at that time could not afford a BWM yet. I just ignored the guard and drove in to park inside even though he was screaming at me.

when you drive BMW...there is double std and treatment applied in some places. It could be an advantage or disadvantage....

A good example would be those security guards manning the guardhouse near my place. When I am driving my sis's Myvi - they dun wave. When I am in my 7silis - they wave like right in front of me scared I can't see them. My sis also said the same thing cause when she is in her car, they dun wave but she is in my other MPV they waved.........:stupid:

4. Ehhhh... ko pakai enjin toyota..???!!! JPJ approve ke..??
5. Berapa ko beli nieee..??? Ok ke keta ni ...??
6. Cantik keta... Brape boleh lari niee..
7. Pada ko beli BM ni, baik ko sambar Persona ke, Perdana V6 ke, Waja atau keta Malaysia.

He he he.... somtimes I'm felt funny when ppl gave a comments. By the way, until now my E34 1JZ never give any major problem to me. Most important, I'm bought this car by cash. No utang, no interest & no hassle. Buy & drive... so far, my "Badang" performed so well. I'm not sure other models. However, it's depend on your "nasib".. By the way, 70% ppl gave a positive comment & respect, 25% negative & 5% no comments. For all bimmers, appreciate what's u have now. Don't bother other ppl comments. Just listen. BMW is a good car and no wonder the motto are "Ultimate Driving Machine..." :top:

Heres a conversation between my 2 uncles, a cousin and me : :top:

My uncle's first word upon seeing my car " So expensive you can buy a house rather then this car la!"

Another uncle (an iswara owner) " Aiya both cars can go from A-B only yours quicker a bit but expensive and drink petrol la what for.."

Big Cousin (JPJ Officer) was around that time " I saw an accident involving BMW and Iswara..Basically the bimmer is standstill waiting for traffic light to turn green and this iswara bang him on a high speed at rear...Iswara occupant, one guy died instantly another died in ICU couple of days later (U can see both their scalps and hair stuck on the windshield,consider superman if alive still) ..Bimmer driver told him he just need a quick urut or spa to relax his stiff neck thats all"
