Warranty issues

Hi,Soon to be owner of E90. the car mileage 60k +- which registered in sapura in 04/2007. Called up sapura, they told me the 60k or 2 yrs for free service. the warranty for the car will be 100k or 3 yrs whichever come 1st. my salesman seems like blur blur about this. therefore, would like to cfm with E90 owner. is it true? rdgs.

get it down Black & white in case of argument! At 60+- k km, a lot of parts required replacement.

60k or 2 yrs BSRI and 100k or 3 yrs warranty is for new BMWs, lynnnn. Yours looks like a pre-owned, so you should confirm whether they're actually giving you new car BSRI and warranty. If your salesman is blur about such an important issue, you shouldn't buy your car from him.

Insist on "black and white".. saw an E46 back in 2007 that the warranty about to expire but ECU replaced and got warranty extension which a "black & white" is issued.

i think the BSRI is for 60k km and 3 years...not 2...as for the warranty it is 2 years unlimited mileage...

Yes, correct t2ribena. The 04/2007 60k unit is already out of the original BSRI and warranty, so it's a question of what the dealer is offering as additional BSRI and warranty on this pre-owned. Doubtful they will offer as much as Sapura says, no? That could be a miscommunication and our friend should get the exact picture.

Hi t2ribena, great to see you here after altis forum. it's been age i inactive in the forum.

yeah you are right. anyway i've called up to ingress auto as the car records in their system. good that the owner had changed a lot of things specially wear & tear items (i believe the owner kinda kiasu) hehehe.

Btw, shld be i extend the warranty period for those item e.g gearbox? as you know their services charges is expensive. i used to send my E46 to ah yong at ara damansara.
