All new motorola Walkie is 2 years warranty on receiving unit
Battery is 1 year warranty.

UHF frequency 477.xxxMhz is license free in Malaysia.
Which mean you do not require an exam or paper to be legal to use it.

The most affordable model is Motorola CP1300, with 99 channel.
Max range is 4km (eye of sight) when running max power (4W)
The range can be extended with repeater.
Other model availabe: GP3188, GP328, GP628 & MotoTrbo

As for as I know, Talkabout Walkie-talkie (those using AA battery) has different frequency, and is illegal.
Amatuer Radio is different too.

If any need accessories for their Motorola CP1399, GP3188 or GP328, I have it.

my advise to everyone,if you guys often go for convoy and use walkie talkie just go for rae exam,if one day somebody report or snap a photo send to skmm the find will be thousand with no discount.in kl there is a lot of ham radio operator so is easy for them to clash signal.i now is one of the licensed ham operator so for those are licensed if you travel to m'cca you can qso with me by local repeater,my callsign 9w2ypg.

bro,if not mistaken motorola cp1300 frequency is uhf 435mhz-480mhz so according to skmm rules you need license for it.class a or b licensed holder are allowed handle 430mhz-440mhz.unless use 440mhz frequency and above.

most of the ham operator now are using below model really reliable,you can monitor two channel in a same time.in malaysia they are selling around rm400-rm450 if you buy from china is around rm300.i am using it daily.
