bro for the e46 expansion tank it's pretty easy to see the sign of it's life getting to the end ...that water level dip stick will change it's colour from dark red to lightish brown ..that's the sign of the aeging expansion tank ... a good preventive way i would say ...wish such thing exist on e36's too

Wahh ... thanks for the info bro :top: I didn't know about that ...

There were quite a few maintenance job being done to the car for the month of April and May.

My SMg transmission was having a leak not at one but two places the cluthc actuator O-ring and also the hydraulic flexible pipe. While the O-ring issue is sorted (Autobahn Sunway manage to get the same size O-ring for the actuator) the flexible hydraulic pipe however was not. BA quoted me RM1300 which is ridiculous honestly! There and then decided to call hydraulic specialist and thank god one of the shops (actually shop is not the right word lol they're an engineering powerhouse) responded to my SOS

One of the machine that does crimping for huge hydraulic lines ...

Long story short here's the finished article
IMG-20120510-00305.jpg

Installed ... Autobahn Sunway managed to remove and install the new flexible pipe without bringing down the gearbox
IMG-20120510-00318.jpg

Because the hydraulic leak has been going for some time, it 'eats' rubber hence the gearbox mounting and also the universal joint on the drive shaft koyak to the max...

Replaced with new parts from BA
IMG-20120510-00301.jpg

So far it's been good but have to frequently check on the new custom flexible pipe since this is a one off piece :4:

330i exhaust .. which is huge! It probably weighs a good 25-30kg and built to last. using a lighter aftermarket exhaust like HKS or RE can yield substantial weight saving ...

Of course there's more heart ache (it's not a bmw if it doesn't give you at least once a month LOL) My FCAB bushings koyak ... Powerflex bushings are crap in my opinion or maybe the batch that i got from them ... Read a thread on powerflex and bro vincent recommend a locally made M3 style bushings and decided to give it a try

The failed Powerflex bushing:-

Locally made M3 design FCAB (RM80 each):-

Hehe .. yes it is damaged been like that for more than a year lol There's a lot to be done cosmetically but right now i'm more focus on mechanicals maintenance/upgrade plus interior upgrade.

One of the must things to do this year ... Crank Case Ventilation Valve or CCV valve for short

I know how you feel bro ... I miss kampung already :( The air, food, water feels so different. I really hope the rivers in Selama stay clean and pristine forever (pun intended hehehe)

Hopefully i'll be going back again after Raya and maybe do a road trip too exploring other places

Yes bro, am looking to buy a good camera but not sure which one ... What would you recommend for outdoor shots?

Nice shots bro,

The "long road" in Kedah pic reminded me of my drives using my old Saga to Alor Star every month from Ipoh when I was a student there last time :)

Bro, I think most of the current crop of mirrorless cameras have decent quality output. Also being small in size, enhances portability..

No bro, studied in Tronoh, but made monthly trips to visit my aunt staying in Alor Star :D
