Hi wolverine,
Thanks a lot for the advise. I'll spray the zinc primer direct onto bare metal without the rust killer.

What do you think of por15 rust paint? Any experience using it? I bought some hammerite metal paint to do the underbody.
Yes, I'll post some pictures of the painted car soon.

alamak malu la anakin, just done the paint only. nothing special.

haha looks great bro!
miss mine... :(
Sneak peek hehehe... Actually need another round of polishing. Ask your friend to post pictures bro

From what i can see it looks like a good paint job. What color is it? Anthrazit? Same as original? Nice to see another Sharknose taken care of. :top:

Proton/Perodua colour code. Very close to original. The original looks like Fjord blue metallic (Fjordblau). Some areas need to be touched up I think. I'll post more pictures.

nice work. keep on. I used to have 3 E21 BMw at the same time. Was really ethusiast that time. 1979 Red Mettalic 323i Manual. Sold to a guy in Penang. Another 323i Auto 1980 light blue i painted like the popular Proton Gen2 Blue that time. I good car. doing hard work also carrying many load for my house construction. Bought tiles and brick from KL then brought to IPOH. Dis car has 15" BBS cross spoke that really eye catching.Sold already. Finally I still have another E21 converted to e30 interior, dashboard and 325i engine. Modified fro 4 speed manual to auto. Really nice car and very smooth engine. Enngine still very smooth and powerful till today. Past 10 years with this 325i engine reaching 180kmh not a big issue. Lowered spring, compressed by a workshop in Kepong. But now body work has lot of rust since I became less intreseted and occupied with other interest. But this e21 still lying in my porsh

Hi guys, it's been a while since my last update, been busy with my job, looking for another job hehehe, moving house, other personal things

I didn't take any picture of the old headlining, but the new material is very similar.

Fitting the glass with the new seal I bought from ebay. Although original rubber seal, difficult to fit, that's why three people needed and a foot on the glass.

I've been delaying this for quite sometime. I'll be driving this car on a regular basis after this, so lets repair the leaky ATE master cylinder.
I did asked around for a new mc, but the price is a bit crazy expensive, so I bought a repair kit as the mc bore is still fine, no pitting at all.

removal process

Servo removed, the surface rust will all be removed and repainted same as body colour. Well...the painter didn't do a good job on the engine bay. On the top right of the picture you can see the headlight bulb socket, there should be a cover there and I don't have it.

All components removed, the filthy and oily mc and servo, but not oil from the minyak masak naluri emas there lol!. All will be cleaned and repainted to look as close to new as possible.

Repair kit from Biggred, they are on ebay UK, they also have brake parts for other BMW models old and newer, also other car brands as well.

nice restoration bro! if the brakes still dont feel strong enough for you i would suggest an upgrade for the front calipers. look for the volvo 240 front calipers and the cars stopping power improves tremendously..
haha.. seeing your pics makes me miss mine and all the crazy things i did to it... :'(

Thanks bro. Yes, I've read about the 4pot caliper conversion. Another upgrade also is vented disc from 323i. I need to service the rear brake also, slave cylinder jammed due to lack of use.

No car project at all bro at the moment?

hi bro, if you are going to go for the volvo caliper conversion you must use the ventilated dics from the 323i as the thickness of the standard dics will not allow the brake pads to grip, ie the volvo calipers needs a thicker disc.

for now no project cars at all... just running around sadly in my malaysian made ride.. going to migrate soon within this few months just waiting for a few things to clear up then i am off! hopefully will be able to get an E21 where i am going and restart the passion.. then look out for an E9 which has also always been a dream car of mine.. hehe..
