Sorry to hear that.
Most important is to antirust and paint both sides of the repaired area. Sometimes, the body shop spray antirust primer on the outside only.
They just leave the welded metal bare on the inside. That's how the rust restart.
I am doing the rust treatment myself, the body shop did but some area were not covered. I start with Kurust, then I spray zinc primer (Crc Zinc-it), then perhaps finish with hammerite metal paint. I hope it will be good enough.
I also use Hunting's RustGard for the in between space of the boot/bonnet lid skin and inside frame. But this Hunting Rustgard is a bit oily, so I'll only spray it after new colour painting is completed. I'll update my build thread with pictures on this process.
