hmm..kinda new at this so would like some opinions regarding window tinting. Before that, i'd like to ask some questions, hehe here goes:1. How much should i tint? Like what's the max percentage u can tint? 2. What are the JPJ regulations regarding tinting? (Connected to Q1)3. What are the price ranges for window tinting ?I've been quoted from RM180-RM300 plus...I'm driving a silver E30, what tint shud be more suitable ? Opinions anyone?Would gladly appreciate it!

go to that tint shop they have UV meter for tested the tint , see to belive :getyourfactsright: and looks for the range  !! they have life-cool , v-cool , right-cool , solar cool , air cool and what cool what cool lah  the normal tint have UV protection is cost around rm8xx  , i dont think rm180 tint have UV protection :p !!! 1 more notice here :getyourfactsright: "do not install Gold colour tint" because reflective tint were make alots of trouble in daytime , i mean police kacau !!

Obviously V-cool is very god dam expensive  !! it is Quality tint from US :) .
if i dont get wrong they charge like 1800cc below and 1800cc above and the price min rm1500 below 1800cc

think twice guys !! B)

jumpman, it depends what you want to tint your car for. to look nice or to keep the heat out. if you want just to look nice, there are many cheapo ones between rm300 - 800. If you want to keep out a lot of heat, you cant get it cheap.

Jumpman,

FYI, I've installed v-kool elite today on all 4 sides for RM1.55K. Hope the investment pays off especially since the car would be parked under the scorching sun starting next monday. Tested ok for the touch&go without having to cut the film. Went thru the same dilemma you are facing now but at the end of the day, it boils down to how much you love your ride. Heck, I've scouted high and low for the pros and cons of EcoTint, SunGuard, Kool Aire, Right Kool, LLumar etc etc but V-Kool seems to be the best of them all. My suggestion is do your study and most important of all, check your bank/credit card balance B)
