hi,sorry guys, i am not so familiar with malaysia law so i do hope someone can assist me.recently i went to msia and got stopped at one of those road blocks and got a speeding ticket... Although i did went pass 110km/h i doubt that the police indeed have real proof...anyway. if i am already issued the white piece of paper (with my signature) speeding ticket thing... is there any other way to setter this rather than pay the $300rm? how else to and where to setter?also, what are the implications if i do not pay the fine or do not pay b4 the deadline?thanks.

You can settle at any Traffic Police station in Malaysia.

If dont pay, never come back to Malaysia.

*clap clap* muhahahahaha, are u staying for work or tour? if you are staying for long period its better to pay the fine, else they might go to your house or office since the economy not very good now

Juz go to any traffic police station (normal 1 cannot use) & pay. No way RM300. I kena b4 in 2nd link @ 150km/h (cruise control on). Pay only RM150 in Malacca.

if i am not from msia leh? what happens if you don't pay?

also they say i drove 138km/h... and the guy tell me must pay 300rm. how to know the amount? how to know if they cheat me?

anyway, where is the traffic police station in JB? not the normal police station?

In Malaysia, there are 2 type of police station (but many branch).

1. One type where you make normal report like theft, loss of personal item, complain against another blah, blah.
2. The type is for traffic which cater for automobile accident and traffic offense like speeding, beating a red light, illegal parking.

If you get a summon for a traffic offense, you can go to any traffic police station with the summon. You ask the ticket to be compound (reduce payment) by a police officer by the rank of an inspector. After the officer have approved it, you have to go to another payment counter and pay your fine. Yes you will get a receipt. Please keep the receipt as proof that you have settle your fine. It have been known that sometime the computer glitch will not register your payment.

Of course, if you are like Bill Gate, you can refuse to pay and contest the summon at the court with your lawyers or if you have diplomatic immunity, you can ignore the summon.

Looking from your post, it look like your are from Sinchaipor. Many of you guys never pay for the summons. Nowadays the traffic police have laptop to keep track of singapore car. They will prevent you from leaving the country if you have not settle your outstanding summons.

So please settle all your summons. Malaysia need your cooperation.

btw, did you actually go above 138 km/hr..

Where they stop you and where the "shoot" you is very different location. Sometime it can be as far as 30 KM away. This is because many people flash light to warn other. So if you slow down at 10 or 5 km when you see the flash warn it is most probably too late cos they have already "caught you on camera" at 30 KM away.

there shall be a discount....at least 30% from the rm300....just go to any traffic police station and ask for a discount before you handed over the summons money....you could even get 50% discount if you see the higher rank officer....as for myself....i havent pay any summon within these 4years...i got 7 summons already for speeding. but if you are singaporean, they will more strict to get you pay the summons

If u changed ka, nothing will happens to u as traffic police don't hav details of ka owner.

If u scare kena cheat by police, juz find Msian to help u pay loh.

I m Malaccan driving Blue propeller wif Singapura plate. Kena stop @ road block. Kena stop by Highway Patrol in white Terrano. I nvr pay them off 'cause they nvr accept RM50.

Received Summon in original copy. Received Summon in CARBON copy. Nvr receive summon but tell me to pay @ JB Traffic Police.

Ask my dad to go Malacca Traffic Police Station to pay d summon in original copy. RM150 only even though summon says must to Kulai Magistrate.

By d way, have anybody received summon in CARBON copy?

haix... -_-

so from what i gather, i will have to go to the TP and ask for discount (but being singaporean they might not give?)... i'll try it one day....

anyway, there is a website that can check if i got summon online right? what is the link? and if it doesnt show up there does it mean that i did not get summon? =)

I dont think there is online database for singapore car or singaporean. For malaysian car, they blacklist your car and dont allow you to renew the roadtax until all outstanding summon have been settled. A bit troublesome for some people who bought a blacklisted car when it is time to renew the roadtax.
