e39 angle eye led bulb

these just arrived to me this morning. i actually bought this by accident because at first i thought one of my existing bulb has gone kaput but apparently only the connection was loose. anyway i am gonna try install this first and see how. hehe.

if it is to my liking next item i should buy is the fog light led bulb to match the angle eyes color.

replacing an e39 angle eyes light bulb

so last night i replaced my angle eyes standard bulb into my newly arrived led bulb. the DIY level is child's play i would say. anybody can do it anytime. below are the steps taken. enjoy!

first unplug the connectors.

next hold & twist the bulb holder to the right. once loose, pull it outward.

tadaaa! the bulb holder is now out.

then for installation make sure you plug it the rightly. the connectors are well shaped for easy diy.

the new bulb holder is all set.

comparison between old and new colors.

both sides changed.

angle eyes with low beam on. they look matching.

i went to tesco ampang to check on the castrol edge price because i heard there's promotion but i ended up buying shell helix ultra. price per bottle is marked down to 129.90 from 199. i wanted to try castrol edge but the price is normal at 199.

Lemme check the Tesco nearby my area. Yea I used to bought 'em at RM99 per bottle. That was November last year when they did the promo.

Just to check if yours is the same, does your came with a seal like local bottles? Coz the RM99 ones I bought are made in EU and does not have a seal.

i dont really know because i have not opened the caps yet. lemme check later and update. i noticed the normal price is 199 from the sticker they put at the rack.

Hi Bro Huskar3399, saw in the photo your low beam light changed to HID too? Are you DIY yourself? i'm planning to change my existing low beam halogen light to HID, but checking in Ebay recently got 2 different type of bulb which are HID-D2S and H7, dunno which one is suitable for E39. May advice, thanks

sorry bro the HID is already there when i got the car. i think the previous owner had changed it. i wish i can help but i think u can get ample of info just by googling.

Nolah been using on my ride for almost 10k km. No issues at all. I was told my shops that these are EU stocks where the bottles sold there are not sealed, but that doesn't mean they are not original. Since Tesco is from the UK so it makes sense that they got their stocks from there.

style 66 with toyo r1r

my long waited dream now came true, to get the style 66 put onto my e39. the 66 is a staggered style so i got the default tire size wrapped all of them. 235/45/17 for front and 255/40/17 for rear. i just love the new look of the car and the rubber smell of new tires :burnout: the only downside is my pocket koyak already. hehe.

630/pc for front and 690/pc for rear. at first i thought so also and i was concerned about the performance in wet. i tried t1r once so i want to try other model so at last i just "pejam mata" and buy. hehe. i checked user reviews the performance in wet is not that bad. but cannot beat michelin ps2 n ps3 la. major downside is the wear level.
