using shell ron 95 from Kl-Ipoh-penang and last stop tapah toll 700km for my e90 but now just started to use BHP can feel more power.

I have been using Shell for years now mainly because company provide Shell Card. What I noticed is the quality of fuel differ from one station to another. I wonder why there is a difference even under the same petrol company.

It's due to the number of traffic that goes to the station. A normal station usually would carry around 3-4 days worth of fuel. If there is high traffic, then it replenishes quite fast but if no customers, then it stays stagnant. The tank itself contains loads of dirt, leaves and other residue hence the difference in quality.

Leave, sand, stones, the lot! The tanks aren't that fantastically cleaned you know ;)

Guys, as much as we want to believe each petrol station selling good fuel quality, it is possible to tamper the fuel quality with other fuels ( as our country is famous with Malaysia Boleh). Seen sometimes other tankers (without oil major labels) filling up the petrol stations, which makes me wonder whether it is from the oil majors (Shell/Petron/Petronas).
Better go to your regular reliable station to top up. I am very worry when starting a long journey since sometimes i can feel some issues with the fuel quality. Big and modern stations normally have better fuel storage management, and possibly more transparent!

ya wor.. still remember last time they said got add some 'kerosene' thingy.. duno true or not..
