Hi all sifus,

Just wanna to share about my fuel distance estimation. Now my car filled with Petronas & Petron RON95. Full tank I get read from the OBC is around 550km. But in fact my previous full tank Petron only can last me around 400km with 70% city drive 30% highway drive.

But my current full tank still left quarter and mileage is 500Km from KL to JB (average speed 140km/h). On OBC still estimate 160KM to go.

Base on this, my FC is normal? And I search from this forum. Some members was mentioned about engine software management upgrade or reset engine to adapt new driving style. In order to get better FC.

Thanks for all advise and feedback.

OBC shown are only rough indication of the fuel estimation travel distance and it fluctuate depend your driving style .
My LCI 525 usually get 8.5 km per liter with 70% highway and 30% city. Not very satisfied but no choice cos we are bimmer unless u get f10 or f30 with 4 potter twin scroll turbo engine .. But I still prefer in line 6 cos Cos engine sound more elegant than twin score turbo . and for long distance driving especially during NS highway , inline 6 still rock Man !

Me too 525 lci. Uk.
I Difficult get 8.5km per liter.
What brand engine oil u using ..and petroleum.
.how you control it...
I drive 70% city . 30 highway.
normal get 10.5 km .

my e39 528i once gave 700kms ++ for a full tank with a controlled auto crz drive set at 110km/h all hiway....

the fuel estimation on the obc is just that...an estimate.comparison done based on your drving style.city drives consumes more-fact.
the obc does not recognise brand but measures volume.

my 523i fully 10.6l per 100km.... 20% city... 80% highway... ave speed 120 to 140kmh
