Not necessary. BMW have introduce the diagnostic as follows:- see the transition.

1. 10 or 12 pins - OBD-I compliant - oldest
2. 20 pins - OBD-I compliant
3. 20 pins - OBD-II compliant
4. 20 pins Plus 16 pins - OBD-II compliant
5. 16 pins - OBD-II compliant. - newest.

I still puzzle what is the port on the left side of the 16 pins connector.

Did some extra modding to make the angel eyes works better... here are the updates... so far its 90% done (pending for my quad setup and my shroud to come in :)

Got this harness from ebay (im too lazy to find all the relay and wire it with fuse and triggers)

20062011009.jpg

For Wiring Please refer to bro aidilj DIY guide :)

Opened My Reflector Bowl at last VERY VERY TRICKY on the Auto Leveling Knob... do your homework before you attempt this DIY :p

20062011024.jpg

The Morimoto H1 Mini is then mounted here... its a straight forward insert and screw in... but ive painted the reflector bowl to black color...

20062011029.jpg

I changed the Lens for a second hand lens from Bosch cost less than RM 200.., for both pair so no complaints on minor scratch and stuff... just temporary till i got more money for a nicer Bosch lens :)

My previous lens was badly cracked so light output = sux big time...

at the same time cleared all my Errors :p

Final sharing YAY!!

Next update maybe for the Quad projector setup...

:rock::rock: Super installation xcrave! The cutoff is very sharp, mine is not that great probably due to the China-made D2S.

What projector for the second pair? Still MH1 or something else?

Do you need to prime the chrome bowl before the spray-paint? My lousy paint wont stick (macam curah air ke daun keladi..)!

Hahahah "Macam curah air ke daun keladi" Its simple actually all you need to do is use the "Sabun Cuci" for plates (the one that looks like powdery not the sunlight gel/liquid type) wash the suppose to be painted surface of the bowl... what it does is to create thousands of microscopic scratch (more finer than 2000 sand paper) Use a flat base paint this one actually are more thicker than the normal gloss spray... Mind you that high temp paints are more "licin" than normal paint i think you need primer...

5 Coat of Flat Black later and mounted the Morimoto... i decided that next job = ALL flat black including the highligh bowl... but the pair of opening the auto leveling is just too much ay?

I will stick with the MMH1 since if i want to sell the car one day i want it all back!!! WAHAAHHAHAHAHA (Evil) JK... MMH1 dont actually destroy my headlight so i will stick to it... FX-R found out it has this problem of after so many months it may fall off or tent to move out of alignment with the auto leveling and bumps...

Really, just dishwasher paste? Thinking to use "berus periuk", haha. Will try that.. Don't think I'm going to use high temp for the shroud though, just normal one.

Are you referring to the big area to paint in between the bowls? Yeah thats a lot and not going to paint that.

Aha, thats why I bought new bowls and not hack the existing ones. Hoping that in the future to replace to original if needed. For the FX-R losing alignment, hmm we'll see

Thanks
