Thanks for the info. the bulb should be H1 not D2S, it is called Morimoto H1 for a reason. All HID have that ceramic return wire on their bulb. Those original Bosch ballast must cost a lot..

I don't know how to clear HID retrofit warning just yet. But should be doable through GT1.

Have you wired the solenoid of the bixenon yet?

Errr Bixenon solenoid is left untouched... cause im a bit worried to tap from the highlight ... any reference???

Sorry for all the errors cause im not that good on brands and specs, but like i said the HID bulbs are already inplace when i bought them... the Bosch Ballast i got second hand from ebay... the previous owner use a china one so i replaced it... better now no more flicker and such...

But i need the steps to program LCM/LCZ im not sure if its possible for 99/11 cars... what i heard is 2003 above only...

Also @Jarance bro i have different menu on LCM from BMW Scanner... i'll print screen it when im at home... Wow this thread become my personal diary... hope admin dont mind... sorry mods... it cant be helped it started as simple mods now become overall questions and answers... :p

How to flash if HID..?

All my Lights are HID now :p talk about overkill ... anyways you can see how poorly i placed all my HID Ballast... also another 1 pair behind the bumper (had to open all bumper to make a custom mount)

I use the soft metal mounting plate with holes (donno whats the name) found it in black so mount it there under the bumper as well as near the air filter... 2 more i double taped to the water reservoir for windscreen...

Oh one more question for the floor... i cant use my headligh leveling conrol afer i kacau2 with LCM from Scanner 1.4... hurmmm i think need to off the automatic adaptation?

aidil, see!!!! I suspect that his highbeam is HID when I saw the 4 numbers of ballast in the front of his ride.

I think he mentioned his fog light is also HID..

guys... changing the PWM value can fix the HID warning??? how to calculate for new numbers???

Jarance i think those car got the 20 pin connector can read their live Data wy the 1.4.0 scanner, since Xcrave car was same spec wt mine and his car can read it through the 20 pin.

Not necessary. BMW have introduce the diagnostic as follows:- see the transition.

1. 10 or 12 pins - OBD-I compliant - oldest
2. 20 pins - OBD-I compliant
3. 20 pins - OBD-II compliant
4. 20 pins Plus 16 pins - OBD-II compliant
5. 16 pins - OBD-II compliant. - newest.

I still puzzle what is the port on the left side of the 16 pins connector.

Xcrave i did double checked my car & notice my 20 pin connector was taken out by previous owner from Jpn i guess, cause i can see the connector leg with screw tread was there :banghead:

Jarance i have 16 pin under the dash (driver side) and another 20 pin in the engine bay... now this is the funny and frustrating part... from inside the under dash... i cannot get into other modules other than IKE... if using EDIABAS/INPA cable the same all need to go to 20 pin to do more?? how come??

Also GT1 do not detect connection yet... please help!!!

I'm more worried about functionality here, since your highbeam is HID you wont be able to flash other people during the day and night in your case. Since HID need some second to properly ignite, flashing wont work well in your setup.

The bixenon solenoid can be connected directly to the higbeam power line but I would use a relay..

Oh yeah, and this is the reason why I'm keeping to halogen for high beam..
