i only use Ron97 for my bike...full tank only RM30.. engine feels lighter compared when using Ron95. but won't doit for my E46, not worth it in my wallet's opinion
US Octane rating is based on AKI, so as someone mentioned earlier 91 AKI is equivalent to RON 95 here.
As to whether your car will benefit from running a higher RON fuel, check the owner's manual. I believe the quoted hp/torque from BMW is based on RON98.
As for both my car and bike, RON97 makes a significant difference especially in the midrange. Then again, they only get their RON97 feed on weekends
