Only persons who have signed and paid up prior to AGM? Would those persons have to be BMW car owners to be eligible to vote?

Well, babeblue has brought up some very pertinent points and it will only help avoid any controversy, should it arise.

Some answers,

For this AGM, anyone who owns a BMW (obviously) and forum members who have immediate family member that owns one (if they themselves happen not to be a member) Girlfriends, enthusiasts, ex-owners and etc are not allowed to vote.
However, the committee would like to stress that when the club is officially registered with the Registrar of Society (ROS), only BMW owners and enthusiasts who have a BMW in their household (owned by immediate family members - parents, spouse and siblings) will be allowed.

To encourage maximum participation from BMW owners especially, we will still allow last minute registration but of course as Jeffrey has mentioned, they will have to pay a RM10 surcharge.

The contest for VP looks interesting but in my humble personal opinion, there's one guy who really stands out and that to me is Jeffreyewe. He's been a wholly supportive friend in all undertakings for the Club, official or unofficial from Day One. In the present Committee which I had the pleasure of working with for a few months, he's always been helpful and constructive with an added quality which few ppl have, and that's LEADERSHIP. I can imagine a DD-Jeff pairing to augur well and bring about a golden age for the Club. This is a JUST promotion for one guy whom all the present Committee would agree with me has been a great joy to work with.

I don't want to sound like I'm on his campaign bandwagon. I just feel that becos of my intimate knowledge of how well he has persistently performed from Day One, I can't live with his talent going to waste. It should be harnessed in a position which I think is made for a great guy like JeffreyEwe. I'm exercising my freedom of thought and speech, so shoot me! But Jarence started it by saying we know who to vote for? Yup, I'm very clear on that!

Some points to ponder:

1) VOte based on capability, not popularity......

2) The candidates that will assume their posts in office will be the representivives of the club, these individuals will ambassador the needs of the club and its members.......

3) Do consider how the club and its members will benefit when you cast your vote.......

4) These candidates must be able to organize events, secure sponsors and provide professional coresspondence to the powers that be.......

5) Can the candidates fullfill and execute the club's objectives and responsibilities?

6) These candidates will be policing this club and forum......

7) This is a car club, not a country club

Sorry outgoing committee, due to Kedah's weekend which falls on friday and saturday, I have to "work" on sunday. Have to make a report to my directors that day and can only come back like 8pm.

If I can't make it, I would like to vote...

Great news guys. I spoke to my client (CASTROL) and managed to secure some sponsorships for our AGM. They will be sponsoring quite a few goodies as door gifts and lucky draw prizes. Good stuff and I was told they're limited edition. However, we have limited quanitity and the goodies will have to be given out based on first come first served basis. So, pls be punctual to collect your goodie bag! :D :yahoo:

For your information, only members who pay to attend will be entitled to a goodie bag.
