By the way, how would the current committee determine eligibility for voting at the AGM?
Only persons who have signed and paid up prior to AGM? Would those persons have to be BMW car owners to be eligible to  vote?
What if they are BMW drivers and not owners? What about BMW enthusiasts but no car? What of ex-BMW onwners?
What about persons who turn up at AGM, but did not register earlier but willing to pay the RM35 - will they be allowed to participate in the AGM?
Well, babeblue has brought up some very pertinent points and it will only help avoid any controversy, should it arise.

Some answers,

For this AGM, anyone who owns a BMW (obviously) and forum members who have immediate family member that owns one (if they themselves happen not to be a member) Girlfriends, enthusiasts, ex-owners and etc are not allowed to vote.
However, the committee would like to stress that when the club is officially registered with the Registrar of Society (ROS), only BMW owners and enthusiasts who have a BMW in their household (owned by immediate family members - parents, spouse and siblings) will be allowed.

To encourage maximum participation from BMW owners especially, we will still allow last minute registration but of course as Jeffrey has mentioned, they will have to pay a RM10 surcharge.

Rgds
How about us from the Southern and Northern region??? As I have mentioned earlier, if the AGM is on a Friday or Saturday, I or we would be pleased to turn up to the AGM! Monday is a working day!!!! We are 300++KM far from KL! Please think about us! Certainly we all want to vote also! Dont we have the right? We have to be allowed to vote via online. If no I have to live with the facts that this club is meant for the central region only!!!! I am saying this because even if it is a Sunday you guys can enjoy the evening and go back to work on Monday because you guys live nearby. Think about 300++ KM. Very far isnt it? I didnt want to be rude, but since the decision has been made I have to voice up or else I will not have any chance to do so. Think about it ppl!

I think the issue of logistic has been explained by DareDevil himself, so I wouldnt dwell too much into it.

Ya ya ya you are right who are we? We are just a tiny bunch of guys from some place. Who even care about us? My question is why is Sunday was one of the days on the polling list in the first place? Does anyone remember that there are members from other regions too? My answer to this question is stated very clearly on top. Who are we, look at how many members turn up for the Drive To South event after all the trouble the members and I took to organize. Think about it guys! I will not post anymore on this issue. I already know where I am standing! Anyway thank you BMWCLUBMALAYSIA.
I sense a lot of anger in you. Perhaps you should seriously consider taking the chill pill, sit in a quiet corner and reflect upon yourself what you have just posted. The office bearers and a few others have given you a very sensible reply and you keep refusing to accept and continue to display an obviously 'selfish' or rather 'self centred' attitude. If other region can in fact prove they have majority of the active audience in this forum, perhaps then we should consider having more events there. Isn't it better for one individual to be inconvenient rather than the vast majority.

We can either put this episode behind and move on or you can continue to express your disatisfaction and grievances but rest assured they're falling on deaf ears. You made it that way!

The AGM is over nothing can be done now. I believe the new committee will come up with solution. I am confident that the matter will be discussed and smoothend out in future elections.

Thank You

Mr. Moderator, I think rather than being diplomatic and providing more lip service, vladd's concern has not been fully address to his fullest satisfaction :) I personally find it to be distasteful and this shall be address now and not to be "tai-chi" it any further. And I think the President of the Club should made an announcement on this as well. Keeping mum will only stoke more fire!! :D

well everyone has a good point here and there!
wht i would like to suggest to the committee is tht.....why dont we try organising the annual dinner, grand tt,or even the nxt AGM in the southern or the northern region?

at least it will be fair to all parties involved.
we can make it in the south region one year, thn the northern region the nxt year.....etc...

Who the hell are you to say that? I talked on behalf of all the outstation members. Not for myself!!!! BTW I mentioned the day or date not the location. Cant you read simple english? Get a life! Think before you post! I dont have to explain anymore to some kite flyers or loosers like you!
Bro Vladd. Wooooohhhhhh! What's happening? Very unlike Mr Vladd 'Cool as Cucumber' Tappish to lose your temper like that. Here's what we should do. Let this episode rest. Getting all stressed up over such trivial matter is definitely not worth it. Nanti dapat migraine lagi susah.

The new committee met up officially for the 1st time yesterday evening and addressing the concerns of outstation members was one of the key issues discussed. We'll be announcing some plans shortly where everybody can play their roles in elevating this club to greater heights.

Rest assured we'll try our very best to accommodate the interest of outstation members for our future events. Like I've said earlier, everybody's important to this club. We do not wish to neglect important members such as yourself. In fact, we try very hard to convince friends from Southern and Northern to join us whenever there's an event. Appreciate the fact that you've travelled hundreds of kms just to attend the last few events i.e. Grand TT, IAD, PD BBQ and ProJet. See, I do keep count. In fact, Projet expressed their sincere gratitude towards 2 key members who has always been supportive of their fuel. You guys know who you are.

We had an interesting and successful AGM. I'm sure it could have been more colourful if members from afar were to have joined in.

So alikazam..........forgive and forget. Ok? :D :D Most importantly is that we've noted your dedication and concerns and will be addressing it soon. ;)

Yes you right Mr president. I had already set this issue aside already. Past is past and I am happy that the new office bearers are selected fairly. When everything becomes fine, some loosers come from nowhere and dissed me of. Anyway rest assured, I will always stay dedicated to the club because it is my club too. Cheers to BMWCLUBMALAYISA. :yahoo: :yahoo:
