I would to withdraw for the nomination for the President post as I felt that DD have been doing a great job. He should continue as the next president UNCONTESTED.

As for the Vice president, the present protem committee (ie Fabian, jeffrey and three28) who are nominated should be elected accordingly. As such, I would also like to withdraw from contesting for this post.

Due to the overwhelming supports from the forummers, I would hereby like to stand for the election as a protem committee in order not disppoint all the trust, confidence and support that you all have given to me.

On a seious note, you are right on DD having done a good job, but you should stay on for the VP contest. I insist!! :yes:

:cry: Thanks for the vote of confidence Jarance. Whoever lead the club doesn't matter as long as the objectives are clear. Bringing the club to greater heights is key for now. Whoever gets elected should concentrate on creating more serious long-term association with major corporate sponsors and strategic partners so that our members will be able to enjoy more benefits during special club-related events and activities. Not to mention the importance of generating more publicity and awareness for the club.

It is crucial to get the involvement of corporate sponsors to further strengthen our charity efforts. We might as well make full use of the prestigious and recognisable roundel to do more charity. There are a lot of people who are not as fortunate as us.

Having said that, Jarance, you'll be a great asset to the club regardless of what position you hold. For those who have declined nominations, I sincerely hope you'll be involved in future club activities as subcommittees. There's only so much the committee can do. Without members, committee has no motivation and reasons to strive ahead. k:

If its at all a Royal Rumble, Mafia and Tyke will be the last two standing..

Gee,

I did not realise that some "kind soul" has gleefully nominated me for the MOF position and as much as I am honoured, I will have to decline the nomination. Quite simply, my new role for the Southern Region of M'sia will involve a fair amount travelling and keep me well occupied over the next couple of years with a number of new projects coming online.

As much as I would like to, I will not be able to contribute positively nor do proper justice to the esteemed position. I humbly ask that in the event there are no other nomination for the Treasurer post, let's appoint Fabs ( if he has no objections ) as he has been sterling in his contribution to the club, both as a current committee member and above all, as a fellow member among us. I cannot think of anyone else who is more qualified or suitable to carry on from and continue building on the excellent foundation that Mr. Jeff Ewe has put in place over his 2 year tenure.

It's a fair request but IMHO I think it's not about quantity but quality. There should not be too many official office bearers. But we can still get those who are willing and able to dedicate their time as subcommittee for future events. The committee are not superbeings. They will need our support to make things happen. Betul tak?
