I'm afraid it's too late to decline Ms VC. Furthermore, you've well demonstrated your capability in the daunting and tiringly IAD organising task. Not only did you overdelivered but also participated actively as co-emcee during the award presentation. You've got my full confidence to be in the team to lead this club to glory!

I think both you and Fireblade have demonstrated the qualities that will serve the club well, if you two get elected. No one is too new to serve the club. In fact I personally find newer members are more enthusiastic than the older ones and willing to work for the club rather than engaging themselves in constant bickering, bad-mouthing and etc.

If you decide otherwise, the choice is yours. Let DD know before the end of this month.

I have been following this election thing for a while now. I've been to a few TT sessions and have met some interesting characters. No offence but it is quite evident that in every club, there shouldn't be a complete change of office bearers especially where the top positions are concerned. There must be continuity because I am sure they have worked very hard the past year to establish and create crucial links with BMW Malaysia, press people and potential sponsors. These parties may not feel comfortable if there is a sudden change in associates. Why re-invent the wheel? Why fix something when it is not broken?

Just my 2 cents.

Your points are noted and well thought of. However, I would like to add that having people contesting for every position available will only augurs well for the club. I look at it as a positive development, having continuity is good but too much of it leads to complacency That being said, its important that we choose the right person with the right qualities to lead the club as there are important tasks ahead.

I think the nominations so far comprise a fair mix of present committee and new blood which seems a well-considered course of action. So, I don't see any problem in the actual AGM since a fair mix of existing committee will likely be reinstated.

For example, candidate A may received 10 nominations as Vice-President and 7 nominations as treasurer respectively, I will only put the nominations received as Vice-President.
