need advice between 320d or 323i

Helping a friend decide between a 2010 323i and 320d. Obviously the d doesn't come spec'd with iDrive but the 323i does. To you E90 owners is iDrive a dealbreaker or not?

The 320d does come with iDrive, mine does and personally for me I would go for the iDrive.

IIRC, there are 2 batches of the 320d. First batch doesn't comes with iDrive and the later ones do. 2010/2011 onwards I think.

Yea, 2nd that! Its a cool toy to have, also comes with voice control unlike the non iDrive version

Yes those pre 2010, since he mentioned that it was a 2010 car, it should come with the iDrive unless its a 2009 manufactured car but registered in 2010.

2011 320d is beyond the budget.

The 2010 320d does come with iDrive, you just need to search for it. Mine was manufactured in May 2010 and it does have iDrive.

Yes it is a local car. Not all E90 320d were M Sport equipped. The initial batches of the 320d (especially those that started off with 177bhp) were the standard model (non-m sport) and those made before 2010 also didn't have iDrive. I encountered a few of these model when I was researching about the 320d.

I thought all BMW Malaysia E90 320d cars were M Sport, even the 177hp ones. Any of you all driving a non-M sport E90 320d?

err, i am quite sure though. i even asked the SA to wrote everything down for me..at that time, when i checked their website, it is written as 2010 with the price close to 180k as well. called them, stating my interest in the said model.. and asked to come over to check and view the car..when i am there, they said that they are having promotion and quote me this figure (after some haggling).. almost took it until i tested the 320d..

you may want to try to get their best offer..or is that the last price???

now i am driving the 320d with the iDrive (love it)..

I called and went to see but they said the most they can reduce is 1%-2%. Could you PM me the name of the SA? Need to check out

FYI.... there is a showroom car of the 2012 E90 320d with M Sports and changed rims.... its located at Quill PJ.... price offered very attractive....

At the asking prices for the PS pre-owned E90s, you are better off stumping up the extra for a pre-owned F30.
