Bros,

I'm actually having this issue now. I believe it started this morning itself.

After start car, MID totallly no display. Radio cannot be turned on.

Reached home, plug in BMW Scanner, did something on the "Radio" tab (IIRC "Read" or something", suddenly radio turns on by itself, yet no display on MID.

Remove car key, insert key, switch to 'On', radio turns on itself, MID blank.

Remove car key, detach MID cable, insert car key, switch to 'On', radio still switches on by itself, can use steering to change station, vol up down, but of course unable to switch to CD, AUX, etc.

I've my original LCD-spoilt MID at home, will try to put it back in and see if it makes a difference.

Cheers.

Put back the old MID, still no display lah, sien. Will drop by workshop the soonest possible.

Problem resolved.

Fuse blown. Replace fuse, turn on OK. A while later, fuse blown again.

Found a small piece of thin, C-shape, metal sheet loose inside MID. Remove thin metal sheet, replace blown fuse, MID back alive.

Thanks to Optimum Jason for discovering the piece of loose metal.
