Hi guys,Was thinking about getting an e34. Still very new to it but understand there is some engine variants ie 520, 525, 528, 535 and of course the ultimate M5 which i have yet to see one in flesh. Just want your opinion of which would be a better choice for daily use. Have heard that 525 actually doesnt take that much fuel compare to 520 (talking bout auto tranny) is that true? Any extra advice on every aspect is very much appreciated. Thanks.Regards

No brainer.... IMO, get the E34 525i 24V.... hmmm, then why did I get the 2.0L?

Urrr, E34 got 2.8L mer? :dunno:

emm... would like to look for that 525 24V auto oso..
who knows i'wld b able to find one.. B)

B) 525 24V with Sgl Vanos will do good. FC boleh la...RM50 can take u around 250km. A lazy engine, need to rev a bit but on high speed..Wow! Try scouting a 5-speed tranny though can be rare. So far, I'm happy with my ride. If got xtra $$, mod a bit...Voila!!.... :D Scout around, u may find one! Cheers!

get the E34 525 Vanos and yeah .. 5 speed auto ..

M5 - got - in The Star .. Couple of weeks ago selling at 168K but now has been reduced. 1994 model but 3.6 manual laaaa ..

dude!why the sudden interest in the e34?
now tht u did up ur m40,no more interest in it is it?lol....

well,go for the 525i.....very very nice!!! :nyehehe:
if u can get a manual,even better! ;)

The E34 525i 24v (either Vanos or non-Vanos) is definitely a good all round car for daily drive, though my personal preference would be a 540i Sport (M) ;)

wah....spoken like a mafiasi also.....
hmmmmm

Hi,

u can get 525i 24v with or without vanos will be fine.
mine is without vanos. FC is 12.5l/100km or 1 litre 8km.
consider efficient judging on the heavy weight and big cc....
if u want to stroke up to 2.8L will cost u about S$9,000 plus labour included.
Besides, can go up to 3.2L, cost S$16,000 labour included. take 14 days to complete the job.

rgds.

But I've heard the S36 is a b!tch to maintain. Very temperamental. Needs a big amount of TLC. ie, regular tune-ups etc.

how about 520 24V?? is it really really REALLY underpower????? :dunno:
