Hi Julianpang. I am hoping the Club will organize one soon for the E34's to meet the newbies and the oldies. Ha Ha, then we can share tips. Hopefully this meet up will come soon. Also i am sure if all the E34's out there ask for the Club to organize one soon, they will sure to respond if there is calling for it. SO to start the ball rolling i am calling for one.

There was an E34 meet up at MMZ a few months ago, which started the wave for all the specific models meet there (or was it e30 meet up first? Cant remember exactly).

Might be time for the E34 meet again, maybe there are some that are keen. The E39 guys doesnt seem to get enough of it.

This time need to get a taxi ride on E34 4.4. Cant get enough of that V8...

Anyway, wrong place to call for a TT? Could probably continue this E34 TT thread at the Member's Meet Up section:

Brader e.dayanan are u still interested in the e34 that u saw at MMZ tt if yes please pm me the owner might be interested to sell

Good day!

Sorry guys, been away for a while. Lamoo, answered your PM.

Been looking at a few cars and so far, none really looked that great. Btw, does anyone here know of a good, trusted BMW mechanic in Seremban/Senawang area? Saw a 525i there, and hoping to see if there is a good specialist I can call up to look over the car for me. Thanks everyone!

Btw, an E34 meet up is GREAT! When and where?

smike, count me in!

Hi bro e.dayanan,
Good luck in your search...
Sorry to hijack your topic, but guys,... I am contemplating buying a e34 m50b20 manual. My concern is whether it is original or a conversion from original m20b20 to m50b20. How do we identify e.g through chassis no (like merc-chassis no with engine type)?
I am asking this because I had a look at a '91 model, does the m50 e34 came out in '91 or '90? Someone told me m50e34 m'sia market was launched in'92...appreciate your advise on this

Hey bro....

Correct me if I'm wrong;

Normally for cars with an engine change, check the geran. If there is an engine change it will be stated on the reverse side of the pinkslip, bottom half. And it doesn't matter if you change the pinkslip, those records of owner change and any engine change must be reflected in the new geran as well.

Aside from that, E34 cars in Malaysia received the M50 engines sometime in late 1990. There was an overlap between the phase out of the M20 and the M50 engines that lasted till October 1990, give and take. I used to work for Sime Darby, which has records about this, which I have seen personally.

Hope it helps.

Hi,
I didn't manage to have a look at the regn card when I went to inspect the e34 m50. Not too familiar with that...

Thanks a lot DMann for the info  , I really appreciate it.

No lah, I'm not buying..... hehehe, just future plan only. I am only looking for m50b20 manual trans, not b25.

Bro DMann,

I am currently own a 525i 1996 model, I believe it's one of the last batch model...comes with rear sunshade (although now motor jam), hand rest, wood paneling and black leather interior...been having it for six or seven years now....but I seldom drive the car lately, but every time I do, it never fails to put a smile on my face 

Still a nice car to drive, u have my endorsement for a 525i, hehhehehe
