I've an idea for a long drive, as I've been keen on doing a drive like this since I returned from CH via Gua Musang last year. I was wondering if anyone else is interested on a drive like this? It would go like this:KL (very early morning) - Ulu Yam (a popular route for us and other clubs) - Kuala Kubu Bahru (breakfast here?) - Raub - Kuala Lipis (tea/coffee/possible lunch break & refuel if needed) - Gua Musang (lunch if no lunch at Kuala Lipis)- Brinchang/Tanah Rata (depends on where we are staying). There are two major places with uphill stretches (KKB towards the Fraser's Hill entrance and Gua Musang up towards Lojing/Brinchang) and windy stretches especially between Kuala Lipis-Gua Musang. I do believe there are a number of scenic stops along the way, having read about a waterfall somewhere there, and the entrance to Taman Negara being near the route. I am attaching screenshots of the route as shown by Google Maps (one of with the roads shown clearly, and one showing the terrain).Since it is a long drive (7 hours as estimated by Google Maps) we would then spend the night at CH (Tanah Rata or Brinchang), and either return the next day or (better yet) stay a 2nd night, and spend an entire day in CH. We can then return to KL by whatever way we choose (I prefer to return via Simpang Pulai).A possible date would be the 26-28 Feb 3-day weekend. Driving up on a Friday and return on Sunday. Could this be our next Monthly Weekend Drive?
