How are your 320d doing so far?

eh guys, just for sharing, don't wait till the last drop before refueling. i tended to that with my previous car, running on fumes before i fill up...bad habit la.
our german darlings are quite sensitive when it comes to the fuel pump, and you never want to run into a situation where you have insufficient fuel to prime the pump. fuel pump failures are a common concern for bimmers..and because we get such good consumption, you may get fooled into thinking there's lots of fuel left in the tanks when it shows 50kms more to go...!
so now i fill up soon as the ding dong sounds, with around 100-150kms more to go. oh yea, for sharing i normally get around 700kms before having to fill up. daily heavy tekan on highways, normal city driving & my average speed on the OBC is around 45kmh

With lots of city driving and short distance driving (more than 70%) I usually get between 650-700km before the the car dings at me. I've done much higher on the highway though, closer to 800-900km when doing mostly highways so a range of 1000km is actually very realistic if you're on the highway driving at a civil speed.

But let's be honest, who drives at a civil speed when the car is raring to go all the time eh?

My friend said the for diesel engine, the fuel pump must change after 3-4 years irregardless of what is the mileage. The fuel pump costs 3-4k. Therefore, he suggested if one drives a lot, it is worthwhile to buy a diesel car but one just drive for 10,000km per year it's not cost effective to drive a diesel car

Mine has clocked 44k@1 year plus of ownership..so far so goooood..i dont really monitor how i am doing on the mileage but for sure my alpine white visit the pump station at least twice less than my other 2.0 petrol sedan..huhu

I didn't hear anything about the fuel pump needing changing just because its a diesel car every 3-4 years, echo bro. Maybe your friend got it wrong. Just enjoy your 320d and your life too at the same time! Just went to an old folks home today-so sad! There was this old man crying for his son. and they have pampers to piss into-no need to go toilet but what an indignity. Get what I'm trying to say?-when you still can walk to the loo and piss on your own, don't fret over the small stuff. Buy that 320d now!!

Just did a Shah Alam-Penang-Shah Alam trip and had a 800km on the clock,with 49 liters pumped (RM88.20). that makes about 6.1 liters/100km.
did a traffic-obeying drive though,its the festive season,and lots of penguins around.

But cannot tahan when i see another fellow Black 320d WVJXXXX which were at about 180-200ish, so had to push from 120 to 200kmh to tailgate him.
anyone knows or are you on this forum??
