Congrats on your new car. You can't bluefin it, I've contacted several tuners while I was in Europe and none of the E90 manufactured after mid 2009 can be remapped by a 3rd party tuner through the OBD. Your only options would be the BMW remap for a bit less than RM8k or a tuning box like the one me and wuk51 have :D

agreed..till now almost 4th month using it..no problem at all..fuel saving..FYI i've reached the lowest FC with highest poweerrr...6.6 l/100km..one tank 1300 km..last time balik kota bharu boleh pegi balik lg..amacam??huhuhu

Thanks for the headsup. That's gotta suck. I find the BMW remap (which they claims is a piggy back) a tad bit expensive..what tuning box are you referring to?

Come for the 320dPowerkit Cocktail Party and Talk at Quill PJ guys to hear more. Its not a piggy back system-its a new ECU they give you along with 2 important cooling hardware-larger radiator fan and a larger intercooler. Don't overheat your engine. To save maybe 2K,you could buy the hardware separately and do a DTUK piggyback tuning outside. But seriously, is it worth it taking the risk and voiding the warranty? Its best go for the original BMW Powerkit package-you did buy an original BMW, didn't you? You didn't settle for a Honda kitted to look like a BMW 320d, right? Why did you choose to buy an original BMW 320d?

The BMW is not a piggy back, it's a true remap/ECU upgrade. It's a bit expensive because they include actual hardware. The upgrade has smoother power delivery and with the exhaust upgrade, it sounds nicer. The tuning boxes are very well tested outside of Malaysia however, lots of independent diesel tuners in Europe and the UK.

I'll PM you details of the tuning box, don't want to sound like an ad :D

AB fair? Is the promo still ongoing? 190+ is quite worth it, but not sure it has the iDrive or not

Great, photos please...

I took my car last Friday from glenmarie BMW, and pump rm101 of diesel jelly... Until today finally finished the whole tank, travel about 641km & still can go for another 35km left. Is it too little or need to run in the engine to get better mileage ?? On the 2nd tank I pump rm106 for 58.89 liters of diesel

Mine too, with 600+km on the first tank but 100% city driving with a lot of short distance stop and go. Will try my 2nd tank on the highways.

guess you did a 100% city driving? run-in engines should provide better mileage..
usually my 70% Hiway 30% city will give about 800-950kms,
but say in the 100% city driving mine gave me a bit on the low side reading, about 500-650kms.
some say they tekan2 and all still give them 700-800kms.
i keep on monitoring my FC though.

Yeah... Becos this week always jam GAO GAO at federal highway, I always travel from klang to kl...
How come yours is only 500 to 650km ??

A full tank can only go up to 670+ km? It's not really a good FC

Measuring fuel consumption is a dark art... the on board computer is pretty un-reliable as the formula used is a dynamic one that takes into consideration the last 50km's or so of driving. When fuelling up, it's more accurate to check against amount poured and kilometres covered. But one has to be consistent as to how one fuels up. I tend to believe if you stop filling when the pump goes click and keep doing so you are fuelling up to the same point each time. There are people, and I used to be one of them, who tries to pump as much as possible without spilling over and that means you're probably not filling to the same level each time.
