Not sure which dealer or salesman u went to but according to my salesman, AB glenmarie premium selection is selling the 320d like hot cakes. Mostly march2010 units left with the newer registered ones selling out first but was told pre-owned iDrive versions will b in very soon. Indicative price ard 240k nego, registered feb 2011. Check with them

As for resale value, u can rarely find a direct owner sale. Salesman also said they hv yet to get a 320d traded in so far. Thus, prices should hold well as the market is now controlled by BMW premium selection

hey, what is the warranty period for Premium Selection 320D?

Exactly. Don't like diesel, just leave it at that, stop spreading rubbish. I am on my second passenger diesel sedan!!!

I would have been a rubbish-spreader myself had I not been given an opportunity to test-drive and ultimately own one. One has to experience the adrenalin, and turn a deaf ear to the slightly louder exterior engine sound. Afterall, VW beetle owners, Vespa owners, and Harley-Davidson owners have grown to like their very uniquely melodious machine sounds! I find myself loving the best of both worlds!

You'll luv the M-sport. Just go easy on the throttle until the 1st service keeping rpm below 2500

Thanks for the advice, bro..

It is a pre-owned unit, and it is already over 6,000km..

Pre-reg and staff and demo car are not the used car market price mah, those are just their internal sales pricing tactic. The used car market price is important because it will effect the trade-in price for your next purchase.

I was interested in the 320d and do test drive at AB Sg Besi. When I asked the salesman how's the trade-in pricing, he said actually for diesel trucks and 4wheel drive is very good, but for cars not too good. Many factor he said. So now I prefer to wait for the F30 with the new petrol turbo engines to appear.

Yeah meetoo, if you already are singing praises for the new 4 cylider twin turbo engine, let me ask you a simple question-have you test driven it yet?-the Z428si has it already. Don't have to wait for the F30. If you haven't, how can you say it is damn good already and already almost want to book your F30 with the new 4 cylinder turbopetrol engine? oh...the salesman friend of yours didn't tell you the z428si has the new 4 cylinder turbopetrol engine? Wah liao, get another salesmanlah! Disinformation and then hiding information chap. Buy the Z428si lah-put your money where your mouth is. Next time you come for our TT, please inform us before hand. The diesel boys want to belanja you a drink.

I am personally poisoned by Doc. So my next BMW shall be the turbo diesel. But preferably the inline 6 which should be more quiet and less vibration. I once experienced a torque figure of 380Nm in other make and it was very addictive....

2 years warranty + 3 years BSRI (free service + parts) from date of original registration. Interest rate follows that of new car. BMW Credit gives good rates (2.5+% depending on loan amount) with special insurance scheme from Allianz.

Had a good buying experience with AB Glenmarie. They have many free owner's appreciation workshop days. Also, 1 month after I got my car, had a puncture on my front run flats. While getting it replaced, I noticed that one of my rear tyre had a puncture patch before. I called my salesman to complain and he ask me to bring the car in. Replaced a new one without question.

I have been a very satisfied customer to date - both with the car and more so, with Auto Bavaria premium selection and my salesman

In 6 month time, the E90 will be the old model. Whats wrong with waiting to see how the F30 look and how are the new turbo engine? My 6-cyl E46 is still going good, so why need to so impatient?

I only said now I prefer to wait for the F30 with the new petrol turbo engines to appear. How you twist to become that I'm already are singing praises for the new 4 cylider twin turbo engine, and it is damn good already and already almost want to book your F30 with the new 4 cylinder turbopetrol engine? Don't add words for me which I didn't say just to make your point.

So how was the resale price of your first diesel sedan? Was it easy to sell?

I did not sell it. My company's other director is using it as his company car. We have two diesel company cars now. Both running great with zero issues.

Do I have to repeat again? My fellow company director decided to take over the car. Like I said in my previous posting.

Since you have no problem with English in your posts and yet somehow seemed to have missed this, you probably are taking this anti diesel crusade very seriously to the point of stalking my posts or are mentally challenged.

So which one are you?

I know what you are trying to say. I have no problems entertaining your rumor-mongering if you can counter me with FACTS about the 320d, not bringing up some old post about a car from a totally different marque, sold during the days of MS123 diesel, and spinning it to look like no one bought the W211 that's why it's with my director.

Perhaps you should work for the mass media, they need spindoctors like you. After facing some problems with a potential buyer, my partner decided to take over the installment payments as his own company car, no hassle, no name transfer, no Puspakom. He's always loved the W211. And that's more information than you rightfully deserve.

Like others, you assumed that I'm a diesel hater. Experience...Ford Ranger 2001 to 2009, 260k km. Mitsubishi Troton 2009 to now, 50k km. Total 10 yrs plus 300k+ km. All those who shout here are newbie who just discover diesel and don't know much about it.

BTW, that not what you posted and you know it, but I won't post it.

Why do u like diesel?-Please submit a 100 word essay here. Thank you.

To keep cost low because I drive to Lumut twice a week for work. No need 100 words. :reddy:

I had a Toyota Landcruiser 80 Series... 4.2L Turbo-Diesel, intercooled, snorkeled, uprated fuel pump'd, mucked about with the turbo fins and boost pressures (got almost 1.7bar out of it....) and ended up with a 260HP/500NM beast.... or so my mechanic claimed... Garuda, as a journalist friend of mine named her, FLEW!!!... Beat almost anything off the line in Kota Kinabalu, and she could do 140km/h easily on a straight, while fully loaded. I got around 750km out of a full 75L tank while cruising between KK and Lahad Datu and it's not bad at all. I forgot to mention, she had a 4" spring lift and 1" body lift and ran on 33" or 35" mud terrain shoes...

Before that I had a Short Wheel Base Landcruiser with similar tweaks to the 2.4L Turbo Diesel and suspension work.

In Italy, I ran around in the 530D Touring (StationWagon) and a couple of Golf GTDs, and a Fiat Panda 2.0L Turbo Diesel Compact 4WD...
