i'm serious bout trying to get hold of deanna(if she is back by thn) and phillipa...mebbe can raise funds for taxi rides???

let me knw ok...

rgds,
-brad-
Do you understand the purpose of this track based event? This is not a social event. The people who have signed up are interested in developing their driving skills and not to taxi ride with 'celebrities. Maybe you could show me what a test driver does on that day, as I am really interested, have always admired them.

Please stick to the topic.

Kev, as OSFlanker mentioned, this event is also "the launching pad for the "Racing for Children" project in conjuction with the Ronald McDonald Children's Charities".

I think tyke was just suggesting on how we can contribute as well? A little off the main topic I agree. Maybe should start another thread? :eek:k:

Half-baked ideas never did anyone any good :getyourfactsright:

Kev,

we know you're contributing your valuable time and considerable skills to the event, teaching track virgins where and when to brake, and where and when to turn in, all at nice, sedate, bring your car home in one piece speeds.

How about you keep doing that, and leave the charity and publicity side of the event, which for your information, is one of the primary, if not the primary, object of the event to the important people?

Then you would have no need to get involved in any no good half baked ideas.

All we need now is for car club's to support this event & at the same time learn to drive on track. We will be launching "Racing for Children" programme. Deanna is already in contact & she has agreed to participate. So thanks to all for the ideas.

This is not a Charity event as in raising fun for the poor. Its about giving a chance to those who with potential in motorsports be given a chance to make it all the way but has no funds to do it. Most top drivers now like in A1 are people with rich backgrounds but they may not necessarily be d best. That is what this programme all about.

So come & have fun & support the cause. We will do the launch after lunch, so u will have more informations than. No need to be worried about which celebrity is coming n all.

TQ & b4 i get smart remarks 'No! You do not qualify!'. Its for CHILDRENS!

kennyG

You may want to start him with karting 1st from now. Then you can judge if he has potential to take it further. Its hard work to make it & a lot of talent. I can help you to arrange for karting sessions if you want. Jules will also be happy to help coach him if we ask him.

:yahoo: yeah ..!!! this time I would love it if she would be my instructor!

This thread has been a bit quiet lately. Secret modding going on? Saw on the website an E60 is going.

The new Kookaburra (Kookaburra II) just done alignment : front -2 camber each side! Will still understeer and roll around like mad though.

If I go, I want a ride too in the new Kookabura.
I'll have the necessary protection.

Where is slide??? You can bring your Porsche, and some of the girls!

Sorry OS, have not been reading this thread since i can't make it.
Porsche is in the shop and i don't expect her out for a while.
I would like to take my BM but i just did the gearbox and i really don't wanna tax it right now. Have decided to retire the BM from racing and do the Porsche up for track days only.

As for girls, you're on your own for now. Come Saturday I'll be going up to Penang with my girlfriend and an SIA pal of hers. Giving my own taxi rides....

Next event la.

Hope u have lots of fun.

are we all meeting up at the track or meeting up somewhere before convoy to the track?
