I think everyone who's bought the PB should maybe share their experience la, and if it's positive, i'm sure someone will organise the next group buy.
My opinion - no regrets. :4:

Sunday TT is a go, but let's make it 3.30pm instead. Citta Mall, let's meet at Papparich!

I wish to pen my greatest appreciation to bro maniac for driving this initiative and bro kong for helping with the installation. Wished I could hv stayed longer but my lil' precious has started throwing tantrums, alas......

my short stint drive home with the DTUK can be described in one word - 'awesome'. Bro maniac has helped tweak the recommended settings and it didn't dissapoint. The steering felt noticeably lighter. Turbo lag below 2k greatly reduced with strong surge after 1500 rpm and totally effortlessly scream all the way to 4k rpm (and beyond if I wanted to) for the similar pedal travel before. It's like driving in DS mode before. I have not driven it in DS mode, post DTUK yet. And this is only on Setting 3 + 10% only.

No noticeable negatives. No smoke on idle, no black soot on acceleration, no increase in engine sound.

Was told mine is the first powerkitted car with DTUK combo. And I can confidently say, 'what are you guys waiting for?'

Again, thanks bro maniac and bro kong and it was great to meet up with the rest. An thanks bro tan for buying drinks. Next round on me.

Cheers, guys

The long speech after the Majlis Pertabalan Datuk Kunta Kinte... :) Enjoy it bro... :) and please stop smilling too or else your wife might think you are having an affair... :)

These DaTUKs are very happy lot, arent they?
Maniac and kuntakinte, nice to meet u for the first time,
azmany72,kong,mus and uncle TiTan keep the oil burning spirit burning!
a little tweety bird told me there's gona be a Pipercross TT soon? Hehe maybe even a GB? LOL

Had a little more time with my new DaTUK-ship today. My settings were preset to map 3 + 10% as recommended by the guys. While performance was hugely noticeable, I've also notice the engine runs coarser and louder compared to stock. Acceleration was very urgent to the point of a little too grabbing for me. I reckon that while that setup did wonders for the guys, my ppk upgrade may have contributed to additional output hence the edgy performance.

A quick search on the bimmer oz and uk forums on dtuk users suggested a majority on map 2 + 10%. Armed with tutelage from sifu maniac, I opened the box and tweaked it's settings. It was easy peasy.

From a quick run, I would say I like these settings - engine's definitely quieter, acceleration was more progressive than grabbing. Surge is very noticeable after 2k rpm. Where overtaking used to induce a gear drop previously (pre-mod) now it just pulls on the same gear. Overall, the delivery is more progressive than outright agressive compared to the earlier settings. Loving it and probably a natural progression later would be map 2 + 20% or map 3 + 0%.

Just wish to pen my experience and options for those ppk guys who may buy into a DaTUK- ship later :)

Wah you guys are having great fun. Just want to know, for an oldie E34 525i (1996) model, is there any fitting like the pedal box. Pls advice if there is. Thanks.

smike the Pedalbox and the like adjusts the electronic signal to the engine and requires drive by wire or electronic throttle to work. I don't think the E34 has drive by wire unfortunately :( Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Map 1

This is the ‘basic’ CRD-T map. Increase in boost and fuelling.

Map 2

This map has the same boost levels as Map 1, but slightly increased fuelling.

Map 3

Same fuelling as Map 1 this time, but with increased boost.

Map 4

This map has no extra boost at all – it’s just increased fuelling, the same as (presumably) the CRD2 or Red/Green boxes.

Well bro thanks for the advice, looks like needs to find ways to boost my oldie. Hopefully the sifus out there can recommend something.

I love DTUK Map 3 in combo fit with Pedal Box on Red Sports settings with 3 Red lights on!

Now I know why u guys prefer map 3. It's the extra boost from the turbo. Better not overdo the tweak by more than 10%to preserve the reliability of the turbo

I hv to agree that map 3 was very aggressive. The engine was grabbing even when accelerator was depressed like a cheetah ready to pounce
