Basket.... we have hustler in the house..

Anyway, the rule is top 3 buy dinner...
Another suggestion, each driver takes out rm10 for a pool, winner gets half. Other half of pool money goes to mamak tt.

Basket all so fast, need to bring a few sacks of rice to offset the weight penalty :p

Good idea. Motivation to be winner, and everybody can have a good time plus food. saya SOKONG....

I find your comments insulting. If you must know, the chain broke because it was probably weak. I don't ride curbs cos its damn uncomfortable on a go kart. Furthermore there is no suspension to keep all tyres on the ground which means you have less grip going round the corner. You want to keep all four tires on the track so I am not dumb enough to go flying around on curbs. I might not be a fantastic driver in your eyes but presuming that I rode the curbs and the chain breaking because of my bad driving isn't very nice. I am not a "pro" like you but I believe that riding curbs kills momentum. Go karting is all about momentum is it not?

Parts get old and they do fail. Does not necessarily mean someone did something. What makes you think the kart was not broken by a previous driver and I was unlucky in choosing that kart? Their reasoning for the chain breaking was that I was accelerating while my kart was sliding. They told me not to do this but I did not have the same issue with the replacement kart. I did not have the same problem in Australia either.

My brother did make a mistake. I was allowed back onto the track on a new kart.

I don't remember the specifics of the track as it was years ago but I almost never used the brakes. I think the only times were the first corners after the long straights. I think we were on the slower karts though.

Gamenoob- I was taken off on the bike as well!

E34,

Sorry for late reply, abroad to earn my dough.

Yes, it can be down to bad luck if someone did it before but if you want to discuss it within a reasonable aspects - then we can only talk about your driving to make this sensible. Otherwise, why dun you just say its poor manufacturing fault too? What aboout poor installation, maintenance, poor greasing etc

If you find this sharing insulting - let me share another idea with you which i have given to many who moan and bitch about their rental karts you get. BUY YOUR OWN KART then there is no one to blame when the kart fails and if you are slow, DNF, crash. When i rent, i accept its luck too and drive to my best of ability and remember its for fun.

Btw, we ride kerbs to be faster. Which ones to ride......is a secret. Why is comfortable for us to hop these kerbs, is also another secret....Where is momentum more needed than others is more secrets but I wun tell you cos you will find my answers insulting also. Btw, not only pro drivers know all this but good rental kart drivers too. ( there are many many so I am disclaiming to be the best )

Can't remember which karts we got, from what you are saying they might have been 80cc?

Don't jump to conclusions about the driving, the karts were not abused. There is no need for putdowns anyway, you weren't there so what makes you think it was due to bad driving?

80cc and 100cc is only available to walk in rental at City Karting. The 2 seater or cadet karts are separate.

Not putting down anyone but why those who find my sharing offensive see that I am trying to make your rental karting experience MORE ENJOYABLE? ( than to suffer a ride home on the bike or worse, walk? )

Free advise lar! nevermind, no need talk. see my signature.

Jules, its John King principle of Dash Racing.
Yes Agree with jules analysis about the chain braking. Additionally some tend to press the brake and accelerator at the same time. Was told it will snap the chain as well. Never did try to mythbust :p

If not mistaken elite might be using rotax but cant confirm coz never really checked :p

Slyder,

I raced with John King in the DD2 class around Elite on RMC 2008. He is very good, very smooth and I am amazed how he could raced the Masters and also DD2 class in the same weekend. He did some team ownership but also stopped.....Do you see him often nowadays, since he retired from Shell?

Those I suggested were probably those you already know.....Fabian, Jeff, Zoggee, Alvin Joseph, XXX and possibly Bundy.

Yes, no issue to come from behind as you had suggested although I frankly find "racing" with those I am not famliar a bit unnerving...... :) but that's the fun. Even walking back after a failed kart is part of fun.....can tease those on track mah.

26th Jan? What time? KIV category.
