Bro, no doubt that schumi won the three races, but if memory serves me right, Senna had out qualified Schumi on all occasions and was clearly the superior driver...the Williams Renault let him down and ultimately cost his life :(

Agreed, Senna was quicker in Qualifying in the 3 races, but doesn't actually WINNING the race itself count for anything? FYI Schumi also had the fastest laps for the first 2...
Pole position is overated (except in Monaco and Hungary). Just ask Kimi.

When i was growing up, it was senna v prost until schumi came on board and started taking the limelight away from the 2 legends. people always compare senna with schumi - some even questionned whether schumi would have come this far had senna was still alive. well, only God knows but all i can say i'm extremely proud to have the opportunity to watch schumi dominating the race year in year out. his commitment and passion towards the sport is simply awesome until today, despite all the $$$$$ in his bank accounts (understand he's either the richest or 2nd richest sportsperson the world). world sport will lose of its most prolific sons, the F1 race may not see another driver like him, my advise to everyone: enjoy his last 3 races!.

If memory serves me right this was the time when all the drivers were given 12 laps each to do their qualifying runs at the same time within the 1 hour period. Something like what we have now for the last 15 minutes of qualifying.

Sadly my dream for the combination of MSc and BMW never materialised :(

There is so much criticism abt Schumi not being the best driver, not being this la, and that la and blah blah blah and all that.

But at the end of the day, who's got 7 (and potentially 8) world championship trophy sitting in their trophy cabinet (or perhaps in his case, room)?

I remember someone saying that Muhammad Ali may not be the greatest boxer of all time but he is the greatest man who box.

So, I think this comparison between Schumi and Senna is irrelevant. Schumi is clearly one of the great drivers of all time but to me Senna was different. He was the greatest man that raced in F1.

All hail micheal schumacher !..........
he has proven all his doubters today !...
what a race !... he deserved the victory !.. level on points now with alonso ..
should be thrilling last 2 races of this season !..
glory glory micheal schumacher !!

For Me I prefer Micheal schumacher than alonso.........go for micheal schumacher...!!!!!!! 1000x.

Yahooooo... I had so much confidence in him that i had a wager that he will finish infront of Alonso...anudder 20bucks for my M5 fund...muahahhahaha

After all is said and done.... Even if ( and that's a VERY big if) he doesn't win the championship, he will have gone out at the top of his game! No one who saw yesterday's race can deny that!
Magnifico!

with da odds stack against him from qualifying, there's no denying the man his quality when he won from 6th place.

a trully stellar performance from Schumacher and Ferrari team.

da true turning point of da race was when Shumacher pitted before Fisichella for slicks. i thought it was a wrong tactic to hav him pit first while Fisichella is having a fast outlap but it turns out to be a great strategy when Schumacher breezes past Fisichella whose struggling wif da cold slick tyres.

Also can anybody explain the technicalities behind the mixed tyre combination strategy that attributed to Alonso's poor performance during mid race.

Justin ... that's not true. Schumi did nothing .... in fact it was another conspiracy by FIA to ensure a Scarlet car finishes ahead of the Renaults in Shanghai!!! Jokes aside, that was a superb demonstration that there's still plenty of life left in the ol war horse! They don't call him the Rain Meister for nothing! This championship mite just go down to the wire in Samba Land!

Cheers,
VaN.
