M sport comes with 5 yr BSRI now...
2013 car..
Good deal?
Good! Is that 5 yr or 100,000km? What is the rough cost of minor service? RM1200? What is the cost of major service? RM3000? .... Assuming 7 minor and 3 major services, that 5 yr BSRI is worth about RM17,400. Please correct if I'm wrong.

Hi all,

I am new here and has been reading this forum on all the problems posted for F30.
So far the below are the common problems:

1) Rusty Seats
2) Suspension + steering rack noise
3) Loose tail lamp
4) Wind noise after 100kmh
5) ECU Malfunction during heavy downpour
6) Water ingression causing engine stall
7) Water leaking into driver cabin during rain

Given the above problems will you still buy a F30?
I really like the performance of 320d... and about to place a down payment..
Before I do so.....appreciate advice from all owners....

Thx
Sleepless Gunso

my answer is " YES, still worth it"... got my car for a 1+ week now. my first bmw car. so far none problem detected. went through a puddle on my second day with the car and nothing happened. so far tail lamp looks ok and tight :)

Given that Merc W205 C-class was already launched, you can consider it as an alternative. I'd definitely wait till it arrives on our shore. Plus, they come with 4-year warranty (manufacturer).

My 328i working well after 9k milleage...good car i suppose...non of the problems above i encounter except wind noise...
One best thing is those annoying tailgaters and fucking light flasher in highway can kiss your ass goodbye...they will be short of breath to catch up with you...

Frankly, with the CLA 200 priced at 280k.

You can stop dreaming of having an afforable C class.

The C has been moved into E territory with its largest size yet.

Pricing will be in the mid 300s for sure.

Compared to the 3 series, you are potentially looking at the C class as a completely different package all together

Fully agreed with this comments. Beemer 3 series is no longer the direct rival to the new C class as the new C class price has significantly widen the gap which will fall in between A and E class. Those who are still keen on new C class, check out what accessories they will offer. With RM270K for the existing model don't even has GPS.

3 series will rival CLA class... which the starting price for CLA200 is RM238,800... commencing Q2 04

Not quite true, CLA200 is equivalent to 316i indeed. Like the A-Class it’s based on, the CLA 200 is powered by a turbocharged 1.6 litre engine with 154 hp and 250 Nm, while the CLA 250 gets a more serious 2.0 litre turbo four that makes 208 hp and 350 Nm. Both are equipped with Mercedes’ own 7-DCT dual-clutch transmission, and can get to 100 km/h in 8.6 and 6.7 seconds respectively.

Extremely overpriced for that spec..
But I saw a couple of CLA last week at SG.... really looks good
