I have seen both cars, if you think the 1st one is tired.. then don't bother to look at the one in Penang...almost the same spec without comfort seats. A quick Vin check will show you the production year of 06/00 and 07/00 respectively. Offered both at 75k but none call me back yet. GT1 been pluged into the 1st one and there is no major problem. By the way, I saw the 1st one some 3 weeks back and there is no fault code in the OBD.. window are all ok too..wondering what had happened within the last 3 weeks.

Car dealer must have driven it to a "timber saw mill" up in Jeli. Then when for drifting in Hatyai followed by awesome party at Water Bar before he went for another drifting after drinking session. Sure clogg the ABS/DSC sensors and damaged all the brakes pads/lining. 3 weeks is enough to damage the entire car. Probably the valves would have melted and came out of the engine head. Who knows....

What I like about it, is the fact that it is an E38 Individual Package. Has good stuff in it.
Thanks for sharing Gerald.

Guys,

I am just wondering if the E38 is equipped with the "drive-by-wire" throttle feature? BMW calls this EMx ......something like that. I can't remember the actual acronym. Which year BMW incorperated this feature onto E38?

I remember my previous 325 E46 in 2001 has this as standard. I wonder if the E38 also has.

nice looking... but year 1996.. price should be 45k in market as informed by bank..

dun have to rub it in...hahah

John, yes the E38 are drive by wire for all M52tu engines.

Sorry, my boss just confirmed that he is not selling his E38 yet.

Hmm... driven the car today and DSC, Airbag and Brake Lining lights are up. The windows are working fine too. Yes, the car looks tired.

You offered 75k, i think it's only worth 70k,

Just been offered 75k for the Penang unit. Elwine, just wondering your thinking of 70k worth for these car, do you have any basis? Bank/finance institute evaluation?

Just call up bank and this car are up to a loan of 115k!

My 2 cents worth and based on recent experience with an E38, its a great car. But it order to have in the 90 - 95% perfect range, be prepared to spend another 10 - 20k inclusive of wear and tear repairs, repaint if tired, refurbish if interior tired, rims and tyres to 18", etc.

So a 70k car, will bring you up to 90+ in no time. Ask anyone who treasures their E38. But this can do slowly, slowly lor

Anyway my 2 cents worth
